Prince WilliamΒ and Prince George were spotted spending some father-son time Thursday at the Aston Villa soccer match.
TNT Sportsβ coverage of the match showed the royal duo cheering on the team as they scored their opening goal against Lille at Villa Park in Birmingham.
George, 10, sported a scarf in support of his fatherβs favorite team as the pair smiled, clapped and appeared in conversation with each other during the youngsterβs Easter break from school.
The outing comes almost exactly a year after George and William watched Aston Villa win against Nottingham Forest on April 8, 2023.
William, 41, has been a longtime supporter of Aston Villa, telling the Sun in December, βA long time ago at school, I got into football big time. All my friends were Chelsea or Manchester United fans, and I didnβt really want to follow the run-of-the-mill team.β
The Prince of Wales continued, βI wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments. Aston Villa has always had a great history.β
The familyβs love of soccer β called football in Britain β doesnβt end with the boys, either. William called his and Kate Middletonβs daughter, Charlotte, 8, a βbudding starβ on the pitch (field) during a chat with the Aston Villa womenβs team in 2022.
βCharlotte wanted me to tell you that she is really good at goal,β William told the professionals at the time. βShe said, βPlease tell them that.’β
Meanwhile, Middleton, 42, revealed to People in January 2022 that their son Louis, 5, is βmadβ about rugby.
βWeβre always slightly competitive with each other. They all love sport, and Louis is mad about rugby,β she told the outlet. βThey are at an age where they just love running around.β
William and Georgeβs most recent outing comes as Middleton continues to avoid the public eye as she battles cancer.
Nevertheless, a new poll revealed that the ailing princess has surpassed William as the UKβs most popular royal.
