What Do You Think?

  1. Democrats never have solutions they just show up with a list of demands. They act like they are in a hostage negotiation.

  2. Shut it down!!! Financial investigations of ALL of congress and their family members for payoffs…..then military trials for treason for those who have been paid off by the cartels and so ros…also freeze all of their pay and bank assets in th meantime…ka itlyn c ollins ….the new j im as osta replacement…

  3. Deep state demo_rats are used to getting every country-destroying, taxpayer fleecing thing they want. And they should be called on it, in writing, with multiple examples. They can't be shamed, but we can collectively agree that they're irrelevant scumbags who sold their souls to satan.

  4. How about getting your asses in a conference room and pass the 12 or so bills to fund the government? You act like this is a surprise and you have no power to make it happen. Why continue to fund Biden's budget? Losing faith that the Republicans can even get a simple budget done. Sad RIP America

  5. Chuck Schumer Creating More National Debt – $37 Trillion Unbalanced.

Chuck Schumer is nuts. I honestly thought this dude was retired and chilling somewhere with Joe Biden. But no—he’s still out here going wild with the American taxpayer’s money. He seems completely careless about the $37 trillion national debt—an absolute disaster for the economy and taxpayers in the long run.
Last year, I was watching Schumer’s face during "President Trump’s speech at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner" in New York. Trump said he gave Schumer a big check the first time—but no more the second time. Watching that video, Schumer’s face looked numb, and his mouth kept twitching.

Again, I thought he was retired for good reason—like Hillary Clinton moving back to New York. But unfortunately, he’s still hanging around and stirring up more trouble for American taxpayers.
It even looked like Schumer was having a good time with Trump at that dinner. I was hoping Trump would give him a second check so he could finally retire and go sail on a boat with Joe Biden.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Instead, Schumer is still running around, making more trouble for younger American taxpayers, while the national debt keeps climbing—$37 trillion and unbalanced.

  6. I’ve been saying this for years years and years,…”Democrats are the enemy of the American people and the American way of life”. …FACTS!!

  7. It's nice to see they still have their bs rhetoric, after the recess and cancelled meeting. During September 2025, Republicans missed opportunities to negotiate on a spending bill primarily by taking a hard-line, all-or-nothing approach that prioritized funding the government at existing levels over Democrats' top priority: the extension of expiring health care subsidies. This stance led to a shutdown deadline impasse and was criticized by Democrats as "hostage-taking".
    The missed opportunities
Holding firm on a short-term bill vs. negotiating healthcare:
The GOP's approach: House Republicans passed a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through November 21, proposing to keep funding at current levels and defer negotiations on healthcare subsidies.
The Democratic demand: Democrats, led by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, insisted on extending the Affordable Care Act's enhanced premium tax credits, which were set to expire at the end of 2025 and would cause health insurance premiums to increase for millions.
The missed opportunity: Republicans, including President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, refused to link the issues, believing Democrats would be blamed for a shutdown. By not engaging on the healthcare issue earlier in the month, they missed the chance to craft a bipartisan bill.
    Dismissing a Democrat-sponsored CR:
The Democratic offer: On September 19, Senate Democrats proposed their own CR that included an extension of the health care subsidies and repealing other recent health care provisions.
The GOP's response: Senate Republicans rejected this measure, mirroring the failed Senate vote on the House's Republican-sponsored CR earlier that same day.
The missed opportunity: Republicans could have used the Democrat-sponsored CR as a starting point for a compromise. Instead of a hard rejection, they could have pushed for a different scope or length of the subsidy extension to find common ground.
Not leveraging President Trump as a "dealmaker":
Trump's potential role: With a shutdown looming, congressional leaders met with President Trump at the White House on September 29. Some had hoped he would lean into his self-professed "dealmaker" persona to break the gridlock.
The outcome: The meeting ended with no breakthrough. Vice President Vance instead blamed Democrats for the impending shutdown, indicating a lack of White House-led negotiation.
The missed opportunity: The administration could have exerted pressure on congressional Republicans to moderate their position and engage on the healthcare issue. Instead, they reinforced the existing deadlock, signaling a missed chance to use executive power for a compromise.
    Ignoring quiet outreach from centrists:
Centrist overtures: As the deadline approached, some moderate senators, like Democrat Jeanne Shaheen, reportedly reached out to Republican colleagues to find an off-ramp. Shaheen was involved in drafting legislation for the premium tax credits, potentially signaling a willingness to negotiate.
The response: This effort failed, as the Republican leadership continued to demand a simple CR before any deals could be made.
The missed opportunity: By dismissing the outreach from centrist Democrats, Republicans foreclosed an opportunity for a smaller, more bipartisan solution to emerge, potentially involving a good-faith assurance to negotiate on healthcare later.
    Impact of missed opportunities
Ultimately, the stalemate forced Democrats into an uncomfortable position of risking a shutdown by blocking the GOP's short-term funding bill, which they had avoided doing in the past. Republicans, in turn, were criticized for refusing to negotiate on a popular healthcare issue, which weakened their negotiating position in the face of an impending government shutdown.
