What Do You Think?

  1. Article I, Section 9, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution limits the power of the federal government to suspend the writ of habeas corpus, a legal procedure allowing a court to order the release of a prisoner. It states that the privilege of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, except during rebellion or invasion when public safety may require it.
    Key Points:
    Suspension Clause:
This clause, also known as the Suspension Clause, restricts the government's ability to suspend habeas corpus.
    Writ of Habeas Corpus:
This is a legal remedy that allows individuals to challenge unlawful detention. It requires authorities to demonstrate that a person's imprisonment is lawful.
    Limitations:
The Constitution allows for suspension of habeas corpus only in cases of rebellion or invasion when the public safety is at risk.
    Historical Context:
The clause reflects the historical concerns of limiting the power of the government, especially during times of crisis, and protecting individual liberties.
    Protection of Liberty:
It ensures that even in times of crisis, the government cannot detain people indefinitely without due process of law.
    Supremacy Clause:
This clause is often invoked in conjunction with the Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2), which establishes the Constitution as the supreme law of the land.

  2. The Constitution's Supremacy Clause (Article VI) reinforces this principle, stating that the Constitution and federal laws are the supreme law of the land. This means that state laws that conflict with the Constitution or federal law are void.

  3. Alien Enemies Act
Under this law, the president could authorize the arrest, relocation, or deportation of any male over the age of 14 who hailed from a foreign enemy country. It also provided some legal protections for those subject to the law.

  4. Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution establishes the executive power of the federal government, vesting it in the President, who serves a four-year term and is elected alongside the Vice President through the Electoral College.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    Vesting of Executive Power:
Section 1, Clause 1 declares that the executive power of the United States is vested in a President.
    Presidential Term:
The President holds office for a term of four years.
Election of President and Vice President:
The President and Vice President are elected for the same term, and the election process involves the Electoral College.
    Electoral College:
Each state appoints electors, equal to the number of senators and representatives it has in Congress, to vote for the President and Vice President.
    Electors Meeting and Voting:
The electors meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for two persons, with one not being an inhabitant of their state.
    Counting of Votes:
The President of the Senate opens the certificates and counts the votes in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives.
    Determining the President:
If no candidate receives a majority of the electoral votes, the House of Representatives chooses the President from among the top three candidates, with each state having one vote.
    Succession:
The Constitution also outlines the process for presidential succession, including the Vice President taking over if the President is unable to serve.
    Other Powers:
Article II outlines other powers and responsibilities of the President, including commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the power to make treaties, and the power to appoint judges and other officials.

  5. What is 18 U.S.C. Section 2339?

The Antiterrorism Act also created 18 U.S.C. § 2339B, which makes it unlawful, within the United States, or for any person who is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States anywhere, to knowingly provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization that has been designated by the Secretary of State.

  6. Waiting for the SCOTUS to rule anything?! Common this is delay after delay! We are so sick of this! No one is going to jail and there’s no accountability! Congress is not doing anything either so how is it that we have the majority and yet this is all being delayed which is what the Dems want and count on? This is why voting turn out is horrible and why it’ll be dangerous around midterms because if these demons win, they’ll impeach the president and nothing will change ever.

  7. The Code of Conduct for United States Judges includes the ethical canons that apply to federal judges and provides guidance on their performance of official duties and engagement in a variety of outside activities.

  8. The trump admin is going to ask the supreme court to act on lower courts HAHHAHAHHAHA. So essentially the trump admin isn’t going to do anything as usual.

  9. I do not see SCOTUS curtailing ANY power to issue nationwide injunctions. Why would the judicial branch curtail its own power? Total conflict of interest!! The judiciary ruling on the judiciary won’t likely rule to cut their power.

  10. The congress is useless and those who are standing in the way are traitors to the United States. The FBI must remove those who are Chinese puppets or who are beholden to foreign adversaries, or who are taking bribes to work against America.

  11. i knew obiden and his buddies would not even get a parking ticket much less any of them get handcuffed even though there all on camera bragging about there crimes the reason not jackshit happens to any of those demons is because there all buddies when the cameras are off including trump they all say the same bs we are investigatring yea write..

  12. Judges, courts, lawyers, injunctions and swamp politics. Is this all that the US is about anymore? It’s time that we either get Supreme Court action against this overreach or just start ignoring the courts because they are ignoring the constitution and exceeding their authority. The courts are also doing harm to the USA. I would just ask a very simple question. If tariffs are illegal, then why are tariffs against the US acceptable?

  13. well then go through congress and get it done! Same way with these rogue judges. They were set up by congress and they can be taken down by congress. I swear if they pull another 2018 and lose the house after getting NOTHING done…again!!!… I will never again vote for another republican…get it done!!!!!

  14. Tariffs are a NEGOTIATING TOOL. None are FIXED. They're fluid depending on the situation. President Trump's been promoting tariffs for 40 years. He knows what he's doing.

  15. If their is no afterlife, then there is no nation of Israel. The Bible has two themes….the first is the record of the beginning, diaspora, and the prophetic return of the Jewish people to Israel, a nation reborn after nearly 2 thousand years of non-existence. The second is Jesus, whose stated purpose is to save fallen mankind from their hatred of God and mankinds love for satan ways.
