  7. I remember it well at the time. The Democrat person in charge of this didn't even want to bother to go there, I think his first name was Peter. The people & the problems they faced were not taken anyway seriously enough & they were fobbed off. That strange shimmering glow in the water that never went after boiling the water as they were told to do. They should have been given the opportunity to move out & got everything paid for. They should have received compensation from the Train company as they should not have been transporting such hazardous materials in the first place. They should never have set alight the hazadous materials to make matters even worse. Before they did anything like this the most highly qualified professionals & drs/scientists in the field should have been consulted. Those people were really let down & nothing was cleared up, cleaned out & it affected their ground water. It is bad to think they are having to still live there.

  19. They should have evacuated everyone until a proper EPA analysis was done by qualified scientists and industrial experts. Nobody should have been allowed in the area without Hazmat clothing. Everyone beeded to be moved out until it was cleaned up. Both the federal and state governments were reckless.

  20. This particular case is what makes me the most angry about the Biden Administration. Yes, the Afghan withdrawal disaster was a jawdropping display of callousness, but I feel it has received plenty of coverage. With East Palestine, I feel the entire event was swept under the rug, and instead of the Biden Admin trying to do SOMETHING to help the people, his admin actually spent resources trying to CONVINCE the residents to drink heavily contaminated water. They staged bogus tap water drinking photo ops, used government resources to craft bogus studies arguing that the town's water supply was safe, and fought tooth and nail to stop any other third party labs from doing their own independent tests on the water.

    The fact that they used tax dollars to convince the populace to drink carcinogenic water is what gets me the most, and no one seems to EVER be talking about it. This is quite literally how China and North Korea manages their countries, and the fact that it happened in broad daylight without anyone up in arms over it is a sign of where this country is sitting right now. We've all been conditioned to accept Orwellian governance as an acceptable model to the traditional one that staunchly opposed such awful systems. Obviously, the democrat voters fully accept it thinking everything will be fine because for one, it's not them that's suffering, and two, they don't want to admit that "their team" did an oopsie. But I find that the establishment conservatives/Republicans have done this quiet acceptance of such Orwellian styles of governance. SCOTUS lets the states and government agencies run rampant violating people's rights left and right by handing out immunities like it's free candy, and Republican politicians are still acting like these Democrat commies are just all talk with their fascism accusations and rhetoric. As soon as a looney tune Democrat like AoC or Ilhan Omar obtains an office like the presidency, they'll go in for the kill and persecute everyone that stood in their way as if they were actually fascists. They'll charge ICE officers with kidnapping people and throwing them in concentration camps. They'll open a series of new charges against Donald Trump and everyone around him.

    The writing is on the wall. It may be impossible for this stuff to happen now, but the generations alive today have been conditioned to push for a communist revolution and brutalize everyone that opposes them or is neutral. It has to be nipped in the bud with prosecutions and punishments or else America will collapse in the same was Russia and China did…

  29. 10 mil to the NIH. And that's just to start. There's much more to come once the results of all the studies come in. It's going to take much more than 10 mil to cover up all that rising Cancer rates and the lingering threat for decades to come. Paying settlements to families and funding a massive clean up and health funding for residents affected is not the main concern. No the real issue is what's more important than anything. Admitting to being wrong is unthinkable. It's a bad look.

NIH is disgusting using this as an opportunity to study not help the town, ANYONE there sees this listen, use ferrite dust(fine iron shavings that rust) mixed with activated carbon or charred coconut shells(carbon) rain or water can nuetralize this alternatively ferrite dust and peroxide can make a very active regent. organize the town and sue the leaders under class action. The fact they knew how to fix the issue but instead used them as lab rats is disgusting. Actived carbon also helps filter water but must be replaced regularly.

  40. I’ve just been waiting for something to come out.
    As soon as I heard about this in 2023 I knew it was going to have a horrible ending. PVC is incredibly toxic. Considering the administration we were under at that time, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the train was derailed on purpose…considering that area is a huge agricultural part of our country. It was during the same time when all the chicken farms were being blown up… 😑
