Wyoming Republican Secretary of State Chuck Gray officially announced his campaign for Wyoming’s at-large U.S. House seat in the 2026 election.
This follows Rep. Harriet Hageman’s (R-Wy.) decision to run for U.S. Senate instead of seeking re-election to the House, after GOP Sen. Cynthia Lummis announced she would not run again.
Gray is the first major Republican to enter the House race, positioning himself as an “America First” conservative continuing Hageman’s and President Donald Trump’s agenda.
Gray, an ally of President Trump, has also since endorsed Hageman’s Senate run, proclaiming that her campaign is centered around the continued advancement of the “America First” agenda.
“I’m running for Congress to continue fighting for Wyoming’s way of life,” Gray stated in a press release. “With Congresswoman Harriet Hageman running for U.S. Senate, Wyoming needs a representative who will build on her strong record, advance our shared Wyoming values, and advance the Trump agenda that has delivered the largest margin of victory in the nation in three straight presidential elections.”
Since 2022, Gray oversaw the implementation of additional election integrity measures, such as proof-of-citizenship voter registration requirements and removing illegal aliens from voter rolls.
“When political insiders abandoned President Trump, I didn’t flinch,” Gray stated. “I stood with the President and the American people, because in this country, voters decide elections, not radical leftist attorneys.”
“Drug smugglers — treat them like terrorists. Liberals who want to cover Wyoming with their woke wind projects — not on my watch. Radicals that want men in girls’ sports — not happening. Illegals flooding our border — deport every single one,” Gray stated in his campaign video.
“I’ll always fight for our values to stop the radical left, to stand up for working families, and protect our coal, oil, and gas, ag, and soda ash industries. And I’ll continue to stand with President Trump,” he added.
Additionally, President Trump previously endorsed Gray’s run for secretary of state in 2022, labeling him a “Powerful Champion for Election Integrity, Energy Independence, Strong Borders, and Fighting Crime.”
