Pastor Jack Hibbs seems to be one of the good guys….a true Christian warrior not interested in politics but just interested in clearly preaching the message of Jesus Christ.
He was recently invited to give the opening prayer to Congress and he told a fascinating story about what that process is like.
In this clip below from Victory News, he explains how he was given a long list of stipulations of what he could and couldn’t say.
Any guesses on what was in the prohibited list?
Repentence.
Jesus.
Sin.
Yeah, if you applied their full list you’d end up with nothing more than a Joel Osteen message.
And Hibbs said when he realized what he was about to do, he ripped up that prayer and started from scratch — which led to a major outrage.

So, a pastor speaks on repentance and moral accountability, and suddenly, it’s a “Christian nationalist agenda”?
This sparked fury among 26 House Democrats, labeling him a “hate preacher” pushing a “Christian nationalist agenda.”
“After we picked our jaws up off the floor upon learning that this hate preacher had been allowed to give a guest invocation, I think many of us decided we need to start calling this out,” Rep. Jared Huffman of California told Roll Call.
“As if spreading election lies and providing religious support and cover for the January 6th insurrection was not enough to disqualify Hibbs from being a Guest Chaplain, Hibbs also has a hateful and divisive public record on civil and human rights.”
“When his opening prayer invoked ‘holy fear’ and ‘repentance’ for ‘national sins,’ these were allusions to the militant and fanatical agenda he preaches about the LGBTQ+ community, Jews, Muslims, and anyone who conflicts with his ‘biblical worldview.’”
Maybe it’s time we ask ourselves why the idea of moral reflection is so threatening to some.
Could it be that the real agenda is silencing any voice that dares to challenge the moral bankruptcy pervading our halls of power?

Who knew prayer could be so offensive to so many?
That’s exactly the reaction Pastor Jack Hibbs received from several members of Congress after he offered a prayer to open their session several weeks ago.
Hibbs is pastor of mega church Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills, California. House Speaker Mike Johnson invited him to deliver the invocation on Jan. 30, as one of the many guest chaplains who are asked to render a blessing to begin lawmakers’ assemblage.
In his prayer, Hibbs called for “humility and repentance of national sins in a time of great need.”
But in a letter addressed to Speaker Johnson, 26 Democrats accused Hibbs afterward of being “an ill-qualified hate preacher” who was pushing a “Christian nationalist agenda,” according to a Roll Call account in mid-February.
Fox News reached out to the Speaker’s Office for comment.
During a recent episode of “Lighthouse Faith” podcast, Pastor Hibbs reacted to the Democrats’ accusations, saying, “You know, I was honored to pray. And what a lot of people don’t realize is that … two thirds of my prayer was simply lifted, in part, from ancient prayers, so to speak, from 1774.”
Hibbs was referring to the First Prayer of the Continental Congress given by the Rev. Jacob Duche, rector of Christ Church of Philadelphia, on Sept. 7, 1774.
It begins this way: “O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, on these our American States, who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee.”
“This is just part of their way of labeling and is void of fact.”
Reps. Jared Huffman of California, Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Mark Pocan of Wisconsin were the top organizers and signers of the two-page letter, according to Rep. Huffman’s website.
The letter stated in the opening graph that “Pastor Hibbs is a radical Christian nationalist who helped fuel the January 6th insurrection.”
In a statement to Fox News, Hibbs said, “I’m quite impressed, as I didn’t know I had such power. This is just part of their way of labeling and is void of fact.”
He also said that “when these progressives speak about ‘radical Christian nationalists,’ they’re using verbiage reminiscent of the rise of the Third Reich under the leadership of Adolf Hitler. Hitler, as well as communists, Marxists and socialists, are known to label and vilify those who disagree with their ideologies.”
Author of the recent book, “Daze of Deception: How to Discern Truth from Culture’s Lies,” Hibbs makes no excuses for being a Christian with orthodox — some would say extremely conservative — beliefs.
Theologian, author and speaker Dr. Alex McFarland, based in North Carolina, said that Christian nationalism is a phrase that the left more or less coined to strike fear in the hearts of liberals to equate it almost as terrorism.
Yet McFarland said, “I love God. I love my country. If that makes me a Christian nationalist … I’m proud to be one.”
Hibbs agreed, saying, “The fact is that a Christian nationalist is a Christian who happens to live in a nation … Jeremiah 29:7 says that you should ‘seek the welfare of the city in which I have planted you for the betterment of all.’”

A Call For Worship as Warfare…

Seems like a very timely day to post this.
This is a call to action.
A call for “Worship As Warfare”.
Let me explain what I mean by that…
This is a call to battle.
But probably unlike any you have seen before.
We’re in a battle in America right now and across the world.
Oh, it feels like a battle against Trump…
A battle against Patriots…
But it’s much more than that.
This is really a spiritual battle being waged in heavenly places.
A battle of good vs. evil.
Literally.
And I’ll prove it here in a second.
If you’ve read your Bible, you know it’s a very supernatural book.
We’ve tried to take all supernatural aspects out of the Bible in modern America.
We want to boil things down to hard facts and things we can see.
The problem is, the Bible tells a very different story.
In fact, Ephesians 6:12 tells us very specifically the real battle is not against other humans and it’s not one we can see with our eyes:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
So what to do?
The answer is WORSHIP.
Did you know that’s how the LORD Almighty fought most battles in the Bible?
It’s true.
Did you know that whenever YHWH instructed Israel on how to fight a battle he would tell them to send the worshippers out on the front lines?
That makes no sense.
You’re gonna send a guy with a flute and a guy with a guitar out on the most dangerous front line?
No shield. No sword. No weapons.
It’s true.
Check this out from 2 Chronicles 21-24:
21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang:
“Give thanks to the Lord;
his faithful love endures forever!”22 At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 23 The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. 24 So when the army of Judah arrived at the lookout point in the wilderness, all they saw were dead bodies lying on the ground as far as they could see. Not a single one of the enemy had escaped.
Interesting battle tactic!
And they won without lifting a single sword.
Remember Joshua at Jehrico?
Do you remember how the walls fell?
With praise and worship and a loud shout.
Joshua 6:20:
20 When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.
And backing up a little bit earlier from Joshua 6:6, who was on the front of the army?
The TRUMPet players:
6 So Joshua son of Nun called the priests and said to them, “Take up the ark of the covenant of the Lord and have seven priests carry trumpets in front of it.” 7 And he ordered the army, “Advance! March around the city, with an armed guard going ahead of the ark of the Lord.”
From Acts 16:25-26, what did Paul and Silas do when they were locked up in prison?
Worship as warfare.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.
Maybe the reason the power is in the worshippers is explained in Psalm 22:3:
Yet You are holy,
O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.
And Pslam 121:
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Do you see it now?
It’s so obvious.
This is a spiritual battle.
I am calling on all Pastors, Patriots and Prayer Warriors across America to stop what you are doing and Pray for President Trump right now! And then move into a time of Worship….
Jesus Christ is the head of the church and he is still on the throne!
