It’s looking rough for Mickey Rourke.
During the current season of “Celebrity Big Brother,” viewers were introduced to the former actor and boxer — and they weren’t pleased with what they saw.
After Rourke, 72, entered the house, he was introduced to the show’s host AJ Odudu and co-host Will Best.
As seen in a TikTok clip posted by The Sun, the “9½ Weeks” alum went up to the British television presenter, 37, and spun her around before grabbing her by the waist and pulling her close.
Odudu looked surprised as she said to Rourke, “You’re very flirtatious.”
Rourke continued to look Odudu up and down, to which she exclaimed: “Stop looking at me!”
Best, 40, asked the newest houseguest if he could see himself winning the show, to which he bluntly quipped: “I haven’t thought about it.”
Best inquired, “You’re just in there for the experience,” to which Rourke joked back, “I have nothing to do tonight.”
Odudu and Best playfully pushed Rourke off the stage and into the house as he teased, “I wanna stay with you!”
Viewers weren’t having the interaction, as TikToker Will Njobvu called Rourke “disrespectful” and “disgusting” in a video posted shortly after the interaction.
“Guys, what was that chaotic entrance from Mickey Rourke on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ just now?” he said before bursting into laughter. “The second he walked out of the car, even the security guard was like, ‘Yeah walk down there. You’re on live tv mate.’”
“Then when he got up on stage, the way he was interaction with AJ?” he continued. “That looked disrespectful. Ok, greet the woman. Say she looks beautiful. Don’t look her up and down like that. I’m pretty sure there was even a point where Will Best was like, ‘Okay, calm down.’”
Many fans commented beneath Njobvu’s video, echoing the social media star’s sentiments.
“Don’t like him at all. AJ was clearly shook up and I’m glad she had Will with her,” one said, with Njobvu replying, “Yep I’d happily vote him out already.”
“I felt so uncomfortable watching him, i can’t even imagine what AJ felt like,” another user expressed.
Odudu was in good spirits, however, as she took to Instagram to respond after the outrage.
“The return of CBB with the most major lineup and interesting encounters. 😜,” she captioned a series of pictures from behind-the-scenes of hosting. “Thanks for all your lovely messages. This series is going to be 🔥.”
One fan commented, “I hope you’re okay after THAT final entrance! Good to see you back,” while another chimed in: “Hope your ok after the event of the last entrance you handled it like a pro well done apart from that this year looks amazing will be watching cant wait to see where this year goes and what it brings 😁 ps never let anyone dull your sparkle 🫶🏼.”
Rourke first rose to fame in the ’80s, starring in films such as “Rumble Fish” in 1983 and “9½ Weeks” opposite Kim Basinger in 1986.
In 1991, Rourke stepped away from acting to focus on boxing professionally full-time. But by 1994, he was back to acting and decided to retire from boxing.
Rourke was critically acclaimed for portraying wrestler Randy “The Ram” Robinson in the 2008 sports drama “The Wrestler.”
The actor earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and in 2009, he clapped back at claims that he had used growth hormones or sports drugs to enhance his body while filming.
In October 2024, Rourke finally admitted to taking the drug while filming the movie.
“Was just finishing up my nightly 2 hr trainning. [sic] I was thinking back to when I did a film called ‘the Wrestler,’” he wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of himself in character.
“I honestly regret putting on 70 pounds to look the part.. I did not feel comfortable in my own skin and it took almost 4 or 5 years to get back to 180,” Rourke continued. “It was not a great well thought out plan, I of course used steroids and ate enormous amounts of food 6 times a day.”
He also confessed it was “very stupid on my part.”
“My, only real accomplishment was long hrs in gym. I regret it but I’ve made many dumb ass decisions in my life. I cringe when I see photos of myself. I never said I was the sharpest pencil in the box. Oh well I was thinking out loud and thought perhaps I could get this mesg out to some young dude who wants to get bigger and bigger.”
