Michael J. Fox isn’t looking to throw the towel on his acting career anytime soon.

The beloved actor, who has beenΒ battling Parkinson’s diseaseΒ for decades, said he would love to be considered for roles to add to his impressive silver screen resume.

β€œIf someone offers me a part and I do it and I have a good time, great. I mean, the documentary was a big thrill,” Fox told Entertainment Tonight at the Michael J. Fox Foundation’sΒ A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s eventΒ on Tuesday.

β€œI would do acting if something came up that I could put my realities into it, my challenges, if I could figure it out.”

When asked if he’s accomplished his dreams, Fox said his goals and aspirations have shifted as he got older.

β€œMy biggest goal, I think, was to raise a family. We have four amazing kids and that’s been the big thing,” he said, referring to his wife of 35 years, Tracy Pollan. β€œAnd then the other is with the foundation.”

Elsewhere, Fox told People that he has some exciting events happening in his personal life that bring a smile to his face.

β€œYou know, my daughter’s getting married too … good things are happening, and life is good. And so it’s been a good year, for sure,” he told the outlet.

He noted that although he’s faced some β€œphysical challenges” over the last year, he was able to overcome them β€œwith the help of family” and the β€œpeople that I work with.”

β€œI’ve been able to meet those challenges and go beyond them and do new things,” he shared. β€œAnd the whole thing is just keep having new experiences, whether it’s experiences that push forward, what we’re trying to do and our mission with foundation.”

Fox publicly revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1998 and has been open about his ongoing battle with theΒ degenerative central nervous system disorder.

AccordingΒ to the CDC, Parkinson’s disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s.

In recent years, Fox’s endured a few physical injuries, including a broken arm, shoulder, and hand.

The actor was diagnosed with the disease in 1991, at age 29.

Last month, the beloved actor received an emotional standing ovation at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.
