Clint Eastwood is moving forward following the death of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera.
The famed filmmaker’s son, Scott Eastwood, revealed how his dad, 94, is doing six months after Sandera died at age 61 of a heart attack last July.
“He’s good. He’s doing good,” Eastwood, 38, told People. “He’s a survivor, a trouper.”
At the time of Sandera’s death, the Oscar winner released a statement about his girlfriend of 10 years, saying, “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.”
When asked about what he has learned about resilience from his father, Scott replied: “It’s in our blood. You don’t complain. You don’t whine. You just do.”
He noted that Clint “was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle.”
“There is no room for complaining,” Eastwood continued.
The legendary director dated Sandera for over a decade after meeting when she was reportedly working as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Sandera was not part of the entertainment industry, and their relationship was low-profile. She was, however, a longtime Carmel resident — of which Clint was briefly the mayor in 1986.
Scott, meanwhile, went on to credit his dad after his breakout role 10 years ago in the Nicholas Sparks romantic drama “The Longest Ride.”
“He’s the reason I’m in this industry. It’s like anybody. If your dad’s a carpenter, maybe you’d become a carpenter,” the star said.
It’s safe to say it’s in his blood, as he told People in 2015 that he spent his childhood being “dragged around to movie sets.”
He would later garner small parts in his father’s films, including “Gran Torino” and “Flags of Our Fathers.”
As for if the father-son duo are set to collaborate once more? For now, Eastwood is keeping his lips sealed.
“Anytime I’ve ever gotten a chance to work with my father it’s been a great experience,” the actor said, adding that his father is an “inspiration.”
But these days, Eastwood is working with another icon — Sylvester Stallone — in “Alarum.” In the action-thriller, he goes toe-to-toe with the actor, 78, whom he calls a “badass.”
“What I like about guys like Stallone is they’ve got this iconography behind them so the audience can really immediately believe who they are because they have all this history,” Scott explained.
Growing up in Hollywood, Eastwood previously crossed paths with the “Rocky” star.
“I think I did. I don’t really remember,” he confessed to People. “I think I met him in passing. Maybe!”
“Alarum” hits theaters on Friday, Jan. 17.
