Witness in Manafort trial says financial institution CEO was interested by high Treasury put up

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Reuters) – A former Federal Savings Bank government testified on Friday at ex-Trump marketing campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s financial institution and tax fraud trial that the financial institution’s CEO requested him to name Manafort to inquire about whether or not he might turn into a candidate for U.S. Treasury secretary.

Dennis Raico, the previous government, stated Federal Savings Bank CEO Stephen Calk requested him to make the decision to Manafort on Nov. 11, 2016, simply days after Donald Trump’s victory within the presidential election.
