I have my non-negotiables as I set up for the day: coffee for caffeine and water for hydration. This is all fun and games while you’re in one place.

But when you start moving around, carting two beverages from location to location gets trickier. It’s not so easy to lug around two liquid-filled receptacles. I’m convinced there’s little worse — and less practical — than having both your hands full in public with stuff you can’t put down. What’s a multi-beverage loyalist to do?

One solution is the two-in-one Splitflask tumbler, which lets you store two drinks side by side in the same container. Everything is mercifully in one place, making it easier to carry around (and easier to keep guzzling your drinks).

The Splitflask is designed to hold hot and cold drinks, with one side sporting a pop-up straw and the other a mouthpiece for easy organization. Each dual chamber is made with vacuum-insulation to keep temperatures consistent. Plus, slimmer at its base than its top, it’s designed to fit into most car cup holders, freeing up space as you travel.

I’m grateful for this solution — which I’ve also used for holding tea, juice and smoothies — and so are reviewers, who rave about the Splitflask’s convenience, its sturdiness and its ability to make running around with multiple drinks appear actually professional.

“The Splitflask is my new best friend at work,” writes one reviewer. “It’s sturdy enough to survive a construction site, but my biggest challenge? Hiding it from my wife! If she finds out, I might lose custody of this amazing flask.”

“This has definitely changed my life,” says another reviewer. “Many times I’m leaving the house with my hot coffee mug and a bottle of water.”

The container promises to be leakproof, and according to reviewers, it delivers: One even described throwing the tumbler straight onto their bed without suffering any leakage.

The Splitflask comes in six colors and sports a wide mouth, a straw, and a mouthpiece for easy drinking and easy prep.

Available in five colors — black, pink, green, white and silver — the tumbler holds 30 ounces of liquid in total, with 15 ounces in each compartment. Made with stainless steel, it’s BPA-free and dishwasher-safe.

In my experience, there’s really nothing like this on the market right now, making it a one-of-a-kind solution for busy beverage lovers.

A plastic two–in-one travel cup

The only truly similar item I’ve found to the Splitflask is this plastic dual-drink option, though it should only be used to hold cold or warm drinks (not hot). Each side sports a drinking straw, and the container comes with a removable, dome-shaped lid. It holds approximately 20 ounces (or 600 milliliters) in total.

Promising review: “This cup is perfect for anyone in your life that loves having two drinks at once. The quality is great. The Insulation is ok. It’s definitely not gonna keep your drinks cold or hot for a super long time. The lid is really nice so you can tell which side you’re drinking from. It all comes apart easily for cleaning and you can’t go wrong with the cute pink color. Fits great in my car cup holder too for on the go!” — KB

Promising review: “This is fantastic! Fits right on the suitcase handle, can put two cups or a cup and water bottle and/or combination. Easy slide in pocket for the phone as well. SO handy! And when I checked my roller on the way home, this just tucked right into the bag and didn’t take up much space at all.” — Sonja Brow

A stackable, compact two-in-one thermos

For folks open to a stacking design, this two-lidded tumbler can hold drinks in its top and bottom contraption (up to 12 ounces on top and 10 ounces at its base). Both areas are contained by lids, so you won’t have to worry about spills, and the top section is equipped with a carrying strap for easy portability.

The cup’s interior and exterior are made with stainless steel. You can grab it in six colors.

Promising review: “I love the ability to take coffee and water with me using only one hand, and the carry handle makes it even easier. No leakage, easy to clean and connect / disconnect. Coffee stays hot to drink later on the plane while still having ice water on top. I only wish it held just a bit more – 12 oz on bottom and 15-16 on top. If it was just a few inches taller maybe they could get those extra ounces. That said, this is a fabulous product and great design!” — Mindy Wilsford

A popular on-the-go cup sling from Etsy

This genius 40-ounce water bottle features a hidden twist-off storage compartment at its base that’s perfect for storing important medication, vitamins and candy.

Bonus pill-saving feature aside, this bottle has all the usual makings you’d expect from a modern water bottle: double-insulated walls to keep liquids icy for up to an claimed 24 hours or hot for up to 16 hours, a flip-up lid for easy pouring or sipping, an extra straw just in case you lose one, 100% food grade material and plenty of popping monochrome colors to choose from.

A handy cup expander for your car

A surprising amount of cars have cup holders that are too narrow to fit thermoses or to-go mugs. This car cup expander sits securely inside your car’s existing holder and replaces it with a larger compartment that holds bottles up to 40 ounces.

I swear by it myself. It’s impressively easy to set up, especially for someone like me who hates overly long product instructions. It can even fit mugs with handles due to its cut-out section, as well as drinks smaller than 40 ounces thanks to its interior rubber arms that hold petite drinks in place (while laying flat against the holder’s sides with larger bottles).

It’s available in three colors and in packs of one and two. Read more about why I’m obsessed with my Sparta cup expander here.

Promising review: “I purchased this cupholder in the hopes that my granddaughter’s large yeti cup would fit. We were tired of the ‘clang!’ as it tipped over or rolled across the floor. Plus there was the trying to find the cup after that. This fits nicely in my car’s cupholder and is adjustable. Now her cup can be at the ready, plus, if I decide to take a mug of coffee with me – I love the ability to use it even with a handle for a firm travel spot. If we have any issue at all…it would be that it sticks up higher, but it’s not unruly or awkward – just tall. Certainly suggest to those dealing with larger cups like Yeti’s or those who want to travel with their favorite mug. Worth every cent!” — websterquincy

A bestselling water bottle holder with added storage

This cult-fave tumbler holder from CalPak is “like having eight hands,” according to one reviewer.

That’s because, in addition to carrying your bottle via its insulated, expandable pocket, it has four pockets for storing everything else you need on the go (like your keys, wallet, phone, SPF and more).

Made of water-resistant nylon, it has an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap for crossbody and over-shoulder wear, plus duo top handles for the option of hand-carrying.
