Forget everything you knew about safety lighting. We found a set of plug-in, pillar dimmable nightlights that offer safe visibility around your home, while still looking incredibly chic. Users call them “not only gorgeous but practical,” saying the adjustable light means “no more stumbling into a dark room or hallway hoping you won’t trip trying to find a light switch.”
Another reviewer, who previously felt embarrassed about needing a night light as an adult wrote that “getting up to go to the bathroom at random times during the night doesn’t have to be a catastrophe anymore…I no longer bump into the walls every. single. night.” And right now, you can snag one or a pair of these lights in a variety of light and fixture colors at a discount in Amazon’s big Memorial Day sale — with the best deal being a pair of the soft white for 23% off.
Reminiscent of a mini wall sconce, these lights feature a decorative gold ring and a bubble design in the shatter-resistant acrylic top. They have an automatic light-sensor, so they’ll turn on at dusk and shut off in the morning without you needing to do a darn thing. Also, the three-prong plug can fit into most standard outlets, to bring a little light wherever you need it.
Reviewers are swearing by these lovely lights being a big help in a ton of ways.
“Perfect way to add a little safe nighttime light without killing the [room’s] aesthetic,” one review said. “It can light up extremely bright, if needed in a long hallway, or very very dim for a small bathroom.”
“I feel safe that our guests or grandkids will never trip or stub their toes in the hallways at night,” one review said.
“If you have someone in your household who is at risk of falling or can not see well at night, or has kids who leave stuff out, or little pets who are known to dart in front of you while walking, these would be perfect,” another review said. ”…Not only see what is ahead but also reassures that you’re not stepping on anything.”
The light fixture is available in various colors and styles to suit your home’s look and it’s easily adjustable based on your needs or preferences.
Use the sliding dimmer switch in the base to adjust the brightness from a gentle glow to an illuminating light. “It’s very bright if you want it to be and subtle if you so choose,” one particularly poetic reviewer noted. ” They can be bright enough to accent light a kitchen counter or dim enough to see the bathroom at night, your choice,” said another.
This adjustability makes them super versatile, to add visibility (and safety!) all over your space. “I’ve opted to get MORE (I’m going all in ) and place them strategically throughout our house,” one review said. “One in the kitchen for those midnight snackers, to light a staircase that happens to have an outlet, illuminate hallways for houseguests, etc.”
“It’s not like I would normally write a review for night lights but these are top notch. I ended up buying more! They are very attractive and they put off quite a bit of light. I feel safe that our guests or grandkids will never trip or stub their toes in the hallways at night.” — Kimberly Kelly
“Perfect way to add a little safe nighttime light without killing the rooms aesthetic. Plugs in easily, never gets warm, even after prolonged use. The design is beautiful with the bubbled crystal and gold wrap, and my favorite feature is that there is a dimmer adjuster on the side of the wall light so you can set this night light to whatever brightness you’d like. It can light up extremely bright- if needed in a long hallway, or very very dim for a small bathroom. Great night light.” — Amazon reviewer
“I love my new night lights. So elegant. Looks like luxury🥂. They come on when it’s dark and shut off when it’s light. I plan to buy more.” — Brwn Eyz
“Needing a nightlight at my big grown age is so embarrassing. But I am ridiculously clumsy. Getting up to go to the bathroom at random times during the night doesn’t have to be a catastrophe anymore. I don’t have it on the brightest level and only have one of them plugged up in my room, but I am still able to see at night. Even the middle level is plenty bright enough for me. Maybe it’s because of the area I placed it, but the daylight sensor doesn’t do anything other than lightly flicker every so often. I’m sure it would work better in an less obscure area, but it really doesn’t matter to me. It being on all day and night is fine, I sleep with an eye mask anyway. It’s not like the sensor doesn’t work how it should, it just isn’t the most suitable for rooms and areas that already have lower lighting. The light isn’t too big, I was still able to plug stuff up underneath it with no difficulties. And the lights are so pretty. I really like the tiny bubbles all throughout the clear parts. It looks nice and matches up well enough for the color scheme going on in my bedroom. It’s a very simple nightlight, but still so lovely. This nightlight has done a great job of keeping my pathway well illuminated. I no longer bump into the walls every. single. night. It suits the purpose that I got it for perfectly.” — Kaya G
“These are beautiful, substantial, and feel well made. The ability to choose your brightness is a wonderful feature. I went with soft white which provides a relaxing warm glow. They can be bright enough to accent light a kitchen counter or dim enough to see the bathroom at night, your choice. I’d gift them for wedding showers, new home purchases or just to a friend. I know it’s just a night light, but it’s not JUST a night light.” — Amazon customer
