“I had a pioneer pet stainless steel fountain for about 5 years. The pump was finally dying regularly, forcing me to take it apart to get it working. When I saw this one had the power mechanism that connected wirelessly to the pump, I knew I had to try it. This fountain is so much easier to refill and clean. I am no longer messing with cables. It has very good capacity and solid water flow. Our cats love it. The filters are well priced too. We only use reverse osmosis water, which should prolong the life of the pump. The WiFi feature is also very convenient to check water levels, monitor water intake, and cleaning and filter replacement reminders. I absolutely recommend this product.” — John
“I’ve used numerous different water fountains in the past. This one is, hands down, the best one I’ve ever used. It assembles easily; it cleans easily; you can refill it easily. The app is pretty decent and it reminds me how often I need to clean it and/or change the filter. IT’S SUPER QUIET! My cat loves it!” — Stacy O’
“Whatever team that designed this should get an award. This is magical. I have two cats who share this fountain. One likes water, the other does not. This fountain measures how much the cats drink, and while I don’t know how much each cat drinks, I can keep an eye out for the total amount they had each day and take a closer look if the amount fluctuates by a lot. Since what I am paying attention to is the trend, I don’t care about the amount of water evaporating, which should be constant. The true genius of this fountain is, as others have mentioned, that the motor charges wirelessly. This is the second fountain I had to buy due to the motor dying out, and I am sure it will be the last. For some reason, I have confidence that the wireless charging gives it a longer motor life. Speaking of motors, this thing is silent. I was honestly hoping to get some running water background sound out of it, but I don’t hear it at all. Maybe if I’m in the same room and listening for it. I also love that the top of the fountain is stainless steel, making it much easier to clean. That said, you have to open every part and wash every crevice each time you clean it. The biofilm does build up in just a few days. The company recommends that you clean it weekly, but I clean it twice a week. Maybe you can get by with weekly cleans if you have just one cat, but with two cats, that gets gross. I also think that the cats drink more with the water constantly running. I still keep a bowl upstairs, but they have been drinking out of it less compared to the time prior to the purchase, when there was a bowl on each floor. Suffice to say that I am very happy with this purchase and product. I would love it even more if they could track water consumption by cat using microchips or face recognition, but that’s a future feature to consider.” — Jeanne
“I bought this item during Amazon Prime Day because I wanted to replace my old metal water fountain for my cats. I read about the functionalities, and I was a bit hesitant to purchase this version or the regular version. I decided to try the Wi-Fi version because of the added capabilities. As I mentioned in the Capsule Water Fountain review, these guys are the Apple for Pets products. The packaging was nice, and everything was wrapped and or sealed. Putting it together was super easy, and once everything was in place, you just downloaded the app, entered some information, and it was all set. What I like about this device is that you can remove the water basin from the resting plate to clean it, and you don’t have to deal with cords or cables submerged inside the container, so it is very easy to clean and replenish. Within hours of installing and setting it up in the app, I got my first notification that my cats drunk some water, Yay!!!! Very cool, modern, and sleek design. Great job, PETLIBRO.” — Jon Bascones
“Before I would wonder if my cats would drink water but now I know for a fact that they do! The app will tell me constantly that cats are drinking and it’s awesome! I mean it will tell you if your cat has drank 0.17 fl Oz of water and I really appreciate that! I also love that the app tells me how much water is left and when to refill it and how often I need to change the water filter or clean it! It’s extremely quiet and you can’t even tell it’s there. Super easy to put together and love that the cable never goes into the water! Feels strong and sturdy and the stainless steel is extremely healthy for my cats!” — Jose Fernandez
“So not going to lie, I found this and said “it is a smart home device, I want it” the intent was low water alerts, which would be nice, I can’t seem to get it calibrated for more then 1 refill, but we learned what this bowl was really for, the hard way. Our cat started acting strange, eating less using the litter box way more often, like an entire pack of litter a week, not really playing or moving much, something was wrong. Then we were able to look at the intake logs and see her water intake went up from 8oz the first month we owned this to 16oz+. We made a visit to the vet show the logs and went for blood work, turns out of cat was diabetic, and her blood sugar level was getting very high, 490. Turns out of cat is pretty smart she was attempting to self regulate by eating less food full of sugar and flush her system with water, but that was not enough. She is now on insulin, doing very well back down to about 6oz water a day, very close to the normal amount of food, and for the most part back to her old self and playing, running around… we truly believe this water bowl saved her life, the stupid purchase according to my wife was actually one of the best investments. Our vet is even recommending this water bowl now based on our experience. The only downside is it is really only good for a 1 cat household as it will just combine the multiple cats water intake. So if you really care for your cat, and you would do anything to care for them, 100% get this water bowl, there is nothing else close (other then litter robot 4 tracking after the fact), worth every penny if you need it and if you are concerned. If you are the kind of person that is just going to say it is a cat, and when you have to deal with insulin and the cost of the appointments in the beginning, you are always just going to see this as a waste, there are $10-20 pet fountains that you would prefer. Will I purchase again 100%.” — rustyk123
