Whether you’re accident-prone, somehow always tracking dirt and sand, or live in a home with kids and pets, a handheld vacuum cleaner can be your savior. When it comes to one of the better ones out there, reviewers seem to agree: the classic Black+Decker’s Dustbuster is still where it’s at. Since its 1979 debut, the Dustbuster has been a household name for quickly cleaning up small messes, with Black+Decker updating its tech to make it sleeker, stronger, and, eventually, even rechargeable.
Users call it everything from “the original and the best” to the perfect litter box solution to the an all-purpose “oops vacuum” great for sucking up coffee grounds, potting soil, sawdust, sand, counter bread crumbs, baseboards, dryer lint — you name it. And if you don’t own one yet, the great news is the Dustbuster is actually 29% off, down from its regular floating price! The last time we tried to alert you about this vacuum, it disappeared before we could share, so we can only predict that this deal won’t last very long. Grab it while you can!
This bagless handheld vacuum cleaner sucks up as you push its on button and turns off as soon as you let it go, helping conserve you some battery life and easily control that aim of yours. It has a washable pre-filter and an easy-release canister that pops out with the push of a button, plus it weighs less than 2 pounds! It comes with a wall mount that doubles as a charger, so you can charge it up when it’s stowed away, and has a built-in crevice tool for hard-to-reach spaces.
“[…] So long story looooong (I’ve never said that before) I bought this to use as a camping vacuum and really suck up that outside dirt and grime from outside, hummm, whatever if you’re MILDLY OCD and you’ve been camping you get it… UNFORTUNATELY I never got to go camping again this summer… so instead it has turned in to my “oops” vacuum… coffee grounds, potting soil, sawdust, sand, counter bread crumbs, baseboards, dryer lint trap sucker, whatever… those tiny things that aren’t really big enough to pull out the vacuum from the closet, but they’re gonna just kill you slowly if you “sweep them up” aka just push the mess around so its less noticeable. This little bad boy is perfect, pretty sucky – in the BEST way! Easy to empty, charges pretty fast and in my honest opinion, totally worth the $30. I can’t wait to revise this review next year so you can all the the actual review you came here for… sit tight my pretties, only 7ish months till camping season’s back!” — Lora B (This review has been edited for length. “I wasn’t even sure if they still made these things anymore because everyone has canister vacuums nowadays, but I live on the second floor of an old house and I have a private stairwell that’s carpeted and I have spina bifida so I have a very weak back, so it’s impossible for me to carry a vacuum cleaner and vacuum my stairwell because it’s so steep and so narrow it’s just impossible and for a while I was sweeping it and that was a pain in the rear to deal with because I have cats so there’s always fur balls flying around… But then I looked it up to see if they carry them on Amazon and they had a couple different brands and I bought this one and it was super easy. It’s plugged in underneath the shelf and it does what it’s supposed to a great hand vacuum and it’s easy to dump the stuff out when it gets full and then afterwards I just put it back on his charger till the next time I need to use it. It’s the best addition of cleaning equipment that I’ve bought since I’ve lived in this apartment this past five years. I wish I had been smart enough to think about this five years ago. It would’ve save me a lot of grief. It was a great price too!” — SEF
“I am old enough to have one of the first “dust busters” ever made, and they continue to be the best of the handheld vacuums. Was tired of lugging the full-size vacuum around and also wanted something to use in the car and this works great. Charges faster than your cell phone and offers lots of power. Will pick up just about anything on a full charge.. Keeping the chamber and filter clean is key and the build of this vacuum makes emptying it a breeze. So easy to use and easy to put away. Like the built extension a lot and this hand held is loud, but quieter than my full size vac.” — JPTRO (This review has been edited for length. Read the full review.)
“I’ve been looking for a small portable vacuum that I can quickly use for small messes and to even clean my car and this has been great! My kids have dropped a ton of crumbs in the back of my car and this picked it up. It is hard to get into tight spaces though. The battery has been good so far and after the initial charge we haven’t charged it again yet. It isn’t too loud either. Good price for a good quality vacuum.” — JC Mommy
