SCIENCE & TECH: Apple just unveiled its official Black Friday deal for the iPhone 17 – it’s typically Apple

Apple‘s big seasonal gifting event will be back for 2025, and if you’re specifically looking at picking up an iPhone 17, the good news is all these new flagships will be included.

Starting November 28th, you’ll be able to get a gift card of up to $75 in value alongside a new phone. That’s a deal that stacks with the usual trade-in rebates of up to $670 in value, which remains the best (and arguably only) deal for unlocked iPhones.

Is it a good deal? Well, if you were going to trade in for a new iPhone 17 this November, then it’s a nice little bonus for sure. It’s a gift card that you can use to get a cheap pair of AirPods, some AirTags, or other accessories.

It’s not exactly a ground-breaking deal, however. While other retailers scramble to offer excellent price cuts on Android flagships, upfront discounts are still nowhere to be seen at the official Apple Store.

If you’re looking for big discounts on the latest iPhones, then your best choice right now is generally at the main carriers. T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon all have Black Friday iPhone deals right now with discounts that are actually big enough, in some cases, to cover the entire cost of a phone.
