Marcus Tullius Cicero, the great Roman philosopher, statesman, and orator, died on Dec. 7, 43 BC. He was hugely influential not only among his fellow Romans, but throughout Western nations ever since, including America.
Our Founding Fathers, in fact, loved and admired Cicero, and drew inspiration from his political and moral philosophy in establishing our Republic. Like them, we can benefit from Cicero’s observations and advice.
