Politics: Why Did A Crew Of Anti Science Extremists Publish Research

POLITICS: Why did a crew of anti-science extremists publish research questioning COVID vaccine safety?

A new study out from Yale University has reportedly made progress on learning why some people experience symptoms like fatigue, insomnia and dizziness after COVID vaccination that can last for months or even years.

And, happily, the authors are not getting slammed as “anti-science Nazis,” with social media herds demanding they get defunded and fired.

Yet not so long ago in America, expressing the slightest hesitation about COVID vaccines, or mentioning the fact that they didn’t exactly work as government leaders claimed, and even carried some risks (far from uncommon for brand-new medical treatments!), was treated as a moral enormity, a crime deserving of social and professional punishment.

Let alone trying to find out the hows and whys of those risks.

The same was true of saying that schools should be open, that little kids shouldn’t be masked, that lockdowns caused more harm than good and on and on down the list.

This progressive Panopticon was created by the feds and blue-state executives like California’s Gavin Newsom and the Empire State’s own Andrew Cuomo.

It was aided and abetted by the mandarins of Big Tech, now seemingly chastened, and even (to its everlasting shame) by America’s scientific community.

The fever has (so to speak) broken, yet the same cultural leaders seem to be trying to pretend it all never happened, that the pandemic never revealed just how eager our elites are to exercise power for its own sake.

No, no and no.

It’s good to do research that generates new vaccines. It’s good to do research about the risks new vaccines carry (like the Yale study).

It’s good to try to protect public health. It’s good to analyze the risks that various public health interventions will hurt rather than help — as in fighting COVID with prolonged lockdowns and school closures.

That now, after literal years have gone by, elite outfits like Yale are admitting that maybe somehow there was something “the experts” might have overlooked, is only proof of how deeply the sciences, the medical profession, the academy and our governing class violated the basic trust reposed in them to gratify their slavering lust for power.

Don’t forget that. And above all, don’t forgive.
