Daily Devotional
1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.
Jesus tells us to ask and guarantees that we will receive (Matthew 7:7). He also promised to fulfill whatever request we made in His name. John says that we must ask in accordance with His will, which sums up what it means to ask in His name. It is His authority that grants requests made in His name. He has dominion over that which is of His will.
The one guided by the Spirit brings God’s will to earth via prayer. His heart and the Father’s heart are one. He has the same desires as the Father. According to David (Psalm 37:4), if we take pleasure in God, He will grant us our heart’s desires. Our desires align with God’s because He is our delight.
We can be completely sure that God will answer our prayers in His own time when we understand that they are His will. We have great faith when we pray. John is particularly talking about offering prayers to someone who has stumbled. Prior to repentance and restoration, we pray first for conviction.
We might conclude that there was a lot of conflict within the church based on the emphasis of this letter. There has to be conflict among the people. He undoubtedly stressed that we cannot hate a brother if we are followers of Christ for this reason.
We must love because God is love. Here is a secret to changing our heart attitude.
For those folks, offer up prayers. Acknowledge that sin is the cunning destroyer obstructing their vision. It is the sin that deserves your wrath and condemnation, not the person who fell into the trap set by evil. Your perspective will shift, and you’ll discover God’s compassion for other people. You can be confident that your prayers will be heard since you will be praying in accordance with God’s will.
Ask yourself: How should I pray for the person I’m angry with in God’s eyes? How does God feel about that individual?
The Great Tribulation
It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the “Tribulation” tab on our “Trending” menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman
In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” Click here to begin the journey.
