President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani spoke to reporters after the two met in the Oval Office. They expressed that there were many things they actually agreed on, including making the city more affordable and lowering crime rates. Both had traded insults in the leadup to the November election which Mamdani, a self-proclaimed Democratic-Socialist, won over Republican and independent candidates. “I met with a man who is a really rational person,” the president said of Mamdani
