The Issue: A mother and her two daughters who died after being hit by a driver with a suspended license.
The death of three innocents, including two children, in a horrific crash is a tragedy beyond imagination (“Crash tragedy,” March 30).
The underlying tragedy is that Miriam Yarimi is a self-centered woman, driving with a suspended license. If she has any conscience, she will regret and feel guilt for what she caused for the rest of her life.
If she cannot grasp the magnitude of what she did, then a long jail sentence will perhaps remind her.

I would like to know how Yarimi, the assailant in Saturday’s horrific car accident on Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn, was able to operate her vehicle with $1,345 in unpaid fines. It was not too long ago that the New York Police Department would regularly seize cars if there were unpaid tickets.
It is not too difficult for Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez to organize this. He just needs to have his staff go through their database of all scofflaws who have at least $1,000 in unpaid fines, ensure they have the correct contact info, put together a spreadsheet with the appropriate paperwork, go in front of a judge and request the applicable warrants.
This means that Gonzalez would have to get off his seat and work, rather than dismiss charges because he is too lazy.

So Miriam Yarimi, the woman whose car crash caused the death of a mother and her two children and put another in the hospital, claims that the devil in her is to blame for the accident (“Hell on wheels, March 31).
Was the devil also to blame for her other 93 traffic violations that led up to this?

Usually The Post’s covers are clever, meaningful and even sometimes hysterical. What could have ever made someone think to put a glamorous shot of a depraved murderer who killed a mother and her two precious young daughters on the March 31 front page?
To make matters worse, another high quality shot of the murderer is on Page 5. Where is the decency?

The Issue: Democrats’ continued protests against Elon Musk and the Dep’t of Government Efficiency.
It is very hard to understand why these Dems are protesting against Elon Musk (“Vandals hit Tesla in B’klyn,” March 29).
Do they want more of their tax dollars going to useless spending? Do they want our country to send money without any accountability?
Do they want us to go bankrupt, so our lives depend on what China says we can or can’t do?
They don’t know what they are protesting against and are stricken with Trump derangement syndrome.

Democrats are running around the country, protesting DOGE for cutting back on wasteful spending and fraud by the government (“DOGE’s patriotic Muskateers,” Miranda Devine, March 31) .
They say Musk is running around with his band of merry men, who are fresh out of college and have no idea what they are doing. When, in fact, they are a team comprised of rocket scientists, engineers and financial analysts who really have better things to do, but are instead doing a service to the American people.

Who are these violent Democrats who have no logical thinking?
Their demeanor is abhorrent and goes against our democracy of civility. A time out is in order for this failing party.
