Consequence culture has finally arrived, and one of the Democratic Party’s top propagandists has been held accountable for his lies and hate-mongering after the plug was pulled on late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, sending leftists into spasms of rage.
On Wednesday, Nexstar Media Group, which owns hundreds of television stations, announced that it was preempting Kimmel “for the foreseeable future” over his remarks about slain conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk after the host’s blatant lie that his assassin was one of President Donald J. Trump’s supporters. Disney-owned ABC soon followed with its announcement that “Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely.”
The news came as guests booked for Wednesday’s show “were already on their way to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood,” according to CNN, which nearly immediately gave a forum to the top Senate Democrat who angrily fumed after ABC pulled the plug on his ventriloquist dummy, blaming Trump, whom he likened to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“Trump and his allies seem to want to shut down speech that they don’t like to hear. That is not what democracies do. That is what autocracies do. And it doesn’t matter whether you agree with Kimmel or not, he has the right to free speech,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told CNN’s Erin Burnett. “And so, it is just outrageous; it is indicative of autocracy. And I am just outraged by it. Again, this is what dictators do, this is what Xi would do, this is what Putin would do. We are not that country.”
“They have a right to say it on ABC, they have a right to say it in newspapers, they have a right to say it to their friends and families. And this puts this country [on] a road that could go to autocracy if this keeps going,” the New York City Democrat claimed.
Schumer expressed hope that the party’s cadre of activist judges will soon intervene, “the courts have always defended free speech. Let’s see if they step up to the plate, because I’m sure there will be lawsuits about this and there ought to be, right away,” he told Burnett, calling for lawfare to be deployed to keep Kimmel on the air.
Back in 2017, Kimmel was busted colluding with Schumer’s office to sink a replacement for Obamacare, and his show has consistently featured Democrat talking points delivered by the host, including that Kirk’s accused shooter, Tyler Robinson, is a MAGA Republican as well as mockingly likening the murdered father of two to Trump’s “pet goldfish.”
Schumer wasn’t the only Democrat raging over Kimmel’s removal from the airwaves; the always shrill Big Pharma puppet Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) also invoked the word “authoritarianism” by implying that Trump had something to do with the host’s own poor judgment and apparent refusal to walk back his offensive remarks and apologize.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) also raged, accusing the Trump administration of attacking the “free press,” which isn’t really “free” anymore and today functions as an unofficial propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.
