The latest chilling example: Liberal administrators at the posh Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn quietly but knowingly hired an ex-con who’d been busted for stealing $300,000 from an elderly couple — and when students and parents found out and raised concerns, school leaders chastised them, insisting that “second chances” are part of the school’s “progressive values.”

The uber-creep allegedly solicited child porn from Saint Ann students, catfishing the children online and then tricking them into sending explicit pics.
Score: One for gut instincts, zero for “progressive values.”
This “shame, cover-up and coerce” game is an all too familiar page in the progressive playbook.
Lefties told Americans that “diversity, equity and inclusion” policies would make our institutions stronger and improve race relations; critics of the toxic industry, they insisted, were racist.
Whoops, turns out DEI deepens division and increases hostility and racism.
The left spent years denying the border crisis, and smeared concerned Americans as uneducated xenophobes.
Wrong again: Even the in-the-tank New York Times has finally admitted that “the immigration surge of the past few years has been the largest in US history,” doing serious harm to impacted communities and the working class.
How about “criminal justice reform”? The left told Americans that jailing and imprisoning criminals was about being unfair to minorities, not about public safety, and imposed a wave of “decarceration” policies that let criminals back on the streets again and again.
The result: more minority victims, stores locking up the toothpaste if they didn’t close down altogether and a mass exodus from big cities — but the left still pretends that its soft-on-crime madness is the only moral choice.
Feel unsafe on the subway? They insist you can just go to the next car; stay away from the platform edge if you fear being pushed onto the tracks!
Progs just won’t admit their braindead policies slam regular folks; anyone who speaks up gets lectured to about just how “unenlightened” they are.
We’re told we’re just imagining things because they can’t imagine they were fools who substituted rank ideology for critical thinking.
Here’s the thing: The “moral shame” scam doesn’t work forever; eventually, people wake up and start offering the logical response — a New York salute.
