I came to the US in ’95, bought a computer and it’s you who helped me learn English” . . . Robert writes: “I’m a devoted reader for years.” Oh, thank you. Also thanks to Staten Island’s non doctor Chuck, who sends a list of medicines we should take to stay healthy. And there’s Brookhaven’s attorney Kerins: “Your wit is remarkable.” And an animal lover whose name’s blurred wants me to help animals. Yeah, OK. But first let’s save our politicians.

Going postal

Understand, the nasties that start “Dear Stupid,” I’m not including. Why? Because I’m not that stupid.

So, me, I now thank you for all your letters and for taking the time to write. I deeply, gratefully appreciate hearing from all of you. I plan to give these to my editors to read. Understand, that despite their one or two part-time classes in college — if it comes down to them understanding some of your difficult words — my goodness and kindness and niceness and creativeness and understandingness will allow me to read it to them.

SO many meetings and court cases and documents exploding on Capitol Hill lately that security may be extra tight this Thanksgiving and Christmas. From now on every time someone needs to unwrap a gift and undo the wrapping, they’ll have to evacuate the building. Also James Comey.
