The president of America’s second-largest teachers’ union thinks she’s some sort of revolutionary anti-fascist warrior.

So much so, in fact, that American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten wrote a book called “Why Fascists Fear Teachers.”

And now, only days after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a deranged, brainwashed leftist who believed Kirk was a fascist, Weingarten is openly promoting her book.

“Weingarten is set to hold a virtual event Tuesday promoting her new book on educators battling ‘fascist regimes,’” Fox News has confirmed. “The virtual event is slated to kick off at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday.”

The book is as insane as it sounds. It begins by likening President Donald Trump’s administration to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler’s regime.

It continues by accusing “far-right forces” — conservatives — of doing this, that, and the other.

“At both the state and federal level, far-right forces and wannabe dictators are smearing teachers, slashing public school funding, banning books, outlawing honest history, and expanding private school vouchers,” Weingarten wrote.

The reality is, conservatives have been fairly criticizing teachers’ increasing radicalism. They’ve also been rightly defunding bloated education departments that have produced garbage results.

As for banning books, that’s mainly a left-wing phenomenon. And no, conservatives aren’t “outlawing honest history” — they’re banning revisionist history that’s based in black supremacist lies.

But yes, conservatives have been expanding private school vouchers because the evidence makes it clear that children who attend charter schools perform significantly better academically.

Weingarten has been ranting about America’s alleged fascism for years.

During the AFT’s annual convention in July of 2024, she warned that a second Trump administration would bring “tyranny and fascism.”

“The November elections will determine which path we take as a nation,” she said. “Progress is indeed possible, but so is the eradication of the rights and freedoms we hold dear.”

‘”Historians … who study threats to democracy and how fascists come to power conclude that it is seldom a dramatic event or attack that lets fascism in the door. The violence comes later after they are voted in,” she added.

She’s also long been a fierce opponent of charter schools, despite their superior performance. To hear her tell it, they were invented so white kids could take their kids away from black and brown kids.

Never mind how many black and brown kids benefit from charter schools:

She doubled down on this ridiculous belief in a recent interview with The Progressive magazine about her new book.

“In the book, I stress that today’s universal voucher movement is a direct outgrowth of white fear about upending segregation and the desire of white parents to get government funding to pay for private, racially-segregated schools,” she said.

“Although I made race a central focus of the book, I also wanted to address sexuality since the fear-mongering by the right has been extreme, with [President Donald] Trump and others making false claims about schools turning daughters into sons and vice versa,” she added.

And that’s another thing — Weingarten is also big into the transgender movement and all about transing the kids.

She’s also wholly opposed to parents’ rights bills — like those that say parents should be informed if students decide to change their name or gender.
