Kash Patel announced that the FBI and NYPD stopped a potential mass shooting at a school in New York City.

Kash posted, “Patel did not name the suspect in the latest operation, but New York City officials said the teenager was 16-years-old and in the 10th grade. The motive for the most recent potential shooting was also not immediately clear.”

Earlier today, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center received a tip regarding a potential school shooting at Benjamin Cardoso High School in New York City. Based on a quick response by the NYPD and FBI personnel, a student was arrested with a loaded firearm. The FBI will continue to work tirelessly to protect our children.

The student was not named.

According to reports, the student posted about it on Instagram on Thursday morning and was arrested around two hours later. A gun was found in the student’s backpack.

The potential shooter also allegedly posted about shooting up the school on Instagram on Thursday morning and was arrested on the campus approximately two hours later. The gun was found in his backpack.

“This afternoon we are breathing a sigh of relief because Cardozo High School students and staff are all safe,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said. “Earlier today, a 16-year-old student was arrested with a gun after posting on social media that he was going to ‘shoot the school up.’”
