The media is baffled that the September 10 debate didn’t act as a catalyst for launching Vice President Kamala Harris straight to the Oval Office.
It turns out that the debate didn’t have that much effect on those who aren’t yet sure how they are going to vote in November. While pundits point out missteps and lies from both sides, voters aren’t caught up in the hype.
“Kamala Harris was widely seen as dominating Tuesday’s presidential debate against Republican former president Donald Trump, but a group of undecided voters remained unconvinced that the Democratic vice president was the better candidate,” Reuters reported Wednesday.
“Reuters interviewed 10 people who were still unsure how they were going to vote in the Nov. 5 election before they watched the debate. Six said afterward they would now either vote for Trump or were leaning toward backing him. Three said they would now back Harris and one was still unsure how he would vote.”
Reuters believes that if Harris just provided more policy proposal details, Americans would finally decide to vote for her.
“Although the sample size was small, the responses suggested Harris might need to provide more detailed policy proposals to win over voters who have yet to make up their minds,” the article read. “Five said they found Harris vague during the more than 90-minute debate on how she would improve the U.S. economy and deal with the high cost of living, a top concern for voters.”
Given that this was the first and possibly only debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump, the vice president may not get the chance to clarify her policies on a national stage.

You can sense the desperation and fear coming from the regime: “We rigged that debate perfectly and made it impossible for him to look good, and it still didn’t work??” pic.twitter.com/8dNmtkd7PZ

X users reacted to the media hand-wringing:
Everyone could tell ABC had rigged the debate against President Trump.
He stood strong against this and won.
Independents saw this.

Could it be they didn’t realize the moderators carrying so much water for Kamala Harris might actually look bad?

Experts say Harris won. Voters did not

This was what I thought was the biggest takeaway.
1. CNN reports more people trust Trump on the economy After the debate 55-35 over Harris.
2. The Economy is the #1 issue.
3. Trump got more votes.
4. Pundits can wax poetic on presentation all day long, but getting more votes wins— Constance Underfoot (@ConstanceProse) September 11, 2024
