The Met Office have recently introduced a new layout for their weather forecasts, but they appear to have a problem with their forecasts for wind:

At the moment, (9.00 am), it is howling outside, so strong winds is an accurate description.
However, they reckon by 11.00 am, winds will be light and a gentle breeze by 1.00 pm.
In contrast the BBC still show winds of 18 mph after lunch.
I did notice a similar thing yesterday, with the Met Office calling winds light when it was rather breezy.
