Kamala Harris attacked Donald Trump over the riots in Los Angeles.

Rather than condemning the riot, Kamala Harris said, “I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos.”

She also said, “Protest is a powerful tool — essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.”

A statement from Kamala D. Harris:

Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.

This Administration’s actions are not about public safety —they’re about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process.

Protest is a powerful tool — essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.

I continue to support the millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms.

Breitbart reported:

The deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles is a “dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos,” former Vice President Kamala Harris said in a statement that did not condemn the riot against immigration enforcement agents.

Harris, the failed 2024 Democrat presidential candidate, broke her silence more than 30 hours after rioters rampaged against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents seeking to enforce the nation’s immigration law.

“Los Angeles is my home,” Harris said in a statement posted to X. “And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.”

Harris continued to criticize the Trump administration, claiming that the administration’s “actions are not about public safety,” but about “stoking fear.”

“Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process,” Harris continued. “Protest is a powerful tool — essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.”

Violence got worse on the 3rd night.

Around 60 people were arrested on Friday.

CNN reported:

Around 60 people, including people under the age of 18, were arrested Sunday in San Francisco after protests outside the Immigration Services building turned violent, authorities said.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside ICE’s offices to rally against the agency’s raids and deportations across California and the US, CNN affiliate KGO reported.

The protests began near Sansome and Washington streets — close to the city’s Financial District — around 7:01 p.m., where San Francisco Police officers were monitoring the demonstration, the department said.

The gathering escalated as some protesters, according to police, vandalized property, committed assaults, and caused other damage. Authorities declared the event an “unlawful assembly,” leading many to leave, though some stayed behind.

Two officers were injured, and one was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

America made the right choice in 2024.
