Joe Biden is teaming up with the Clintons for help.

They will be attending a fundraiser in Virginia next month.

Axios reported:

President Biden and former President Clinton will team up for a mega fundraiser inside the Beltway in late June, hosted by former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: The event will be the third iteration of a successful fundraising formula that includes an evening with two (or three) Democratic presidents for the price of one.

Scheduled for June 18, it follows the “three president” extravaganza in New York in April and a planned event with Biden, Clinton and former President Obama in mid-June in Los Angeles, hosted by George Clooney. The New York event brought in $26 million for Biden’s re-election effort.

In addition to Biden and Clinton, First Lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will also attend, according to people familiar with the matter.

This comes as Biden is facing pressure to keep up a fundraising lead.

Trump outraised Biden in April.

Fox News reported:

Biden is facing pressure to maintain that lead, however, as Trump’s campaign received $76 million in donations in April, compared to the Biden campaign’s $51 million.

The fundraising totals were a switch from March, when Biden and the DNC brought in roughly $90 million compared to $65.6 million for Trump and the RNC. Biden is still beating Trump when it comes to cash on hand, with his campaign and related committees sitting on $192 million.

Biden had regularly been outpacing Trump in monthly fundraising, but Trump’s April haul was boosted by a record-setting $50.5 million that the former president’s campaign raked in at a single event early in the month with top dollar GOP donors at the Palm Beach, Florida, home of billionaire investor John Paulson.
