ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones was just subpoenaed.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer issued the subpoena.
This comes amid an investigation into Act Blue.
They said in a press release, “Although ActBlue initially provided documents voluntarily, it has since suspended its cooperation with the Committees. Therefore, the Judiciary Committee must resort to compulsory process to obtain the requested materials.”
Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI), and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer (KY-01) issued a subpoena to ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones for materials related to the Committees’ investigation into the fundraising platform.
“In light of allegations that online fundraising platforms that serve as conduits for political donations have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources, the Committees are conducting oversight to inform potential legislative reforms. To further our oversight and legislative reform efforts, on April 2, 2025, the Committees requested documents and communications related to internal misconduct and whistleblower retaliation at ActBlue.
“Although ActBlue initially provided documents voluntarily, it has since suspended its cooperation with the Committees. Therefore, the Judiciary Committee must resort to compulsory process to obtain the requested materials.”
ActBlue responded to the news, calling the subpoenas “political theater.”
ActBlue told Just the News in a statement on Tuesday regarding the subpoena: “Today’s action by Republican politicians in the Congressional Committees is the latest act of political theater by the party that just passed legislation that has gutted Medicaid, prioritized billionaires over the middle class, and that will lead to disastrous results for our country.
“ActBlue’s dedicated team sees this for what it is: a campaign aimed at silencing dissent and destroying our democratic process. ActBlue remains steadfast in our mission to empower grassroots donors and support Democratic candidates at every level. As the critical 2026 midterms approach, we fully expect these Committees to manufacture more PR stunts in an attempt to deter and confuse voters.”
