Imbecilic pot Rx
Medical studies show little evidence that pot relieves acute pain or PTSD, but Gov. Hochul seems to think opening more “medical” based head shops in minority communities is a prudent approach (“The ‘pot’ doc is in,” Jan. 15).
Stop the pandering with the smoke screen (no pun intended) and put together a plan for better education and safety in those communities.

Mangione’s mug
In the Wild West days of old, if you shot a man in the back, it was deemed the most cowardly offense and justice was swift and commensurate. But nowadays, murderers are judged by their looks — meaning some are just too handsome for penalizing (“Luigi jury a go for Sept,” Jan. 10).
It’s ironic how Luigi Mangione is fighting for his own life. You might say he’s fighting to the death to avoid what he did to his victim.

Apologize, Frey
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey owes ICE agent Jonathan Ross an apology for lying — by asininely stating that the agent’s injury was no more severe than his closing the refrigerator door with his hips, and walking away with a hop in his step (“Slay agent injured: DHS,” Jan. 15).
Internal bleeding is serious; Ross is lucky to be alive. But what’s worse: Many believed Frey and probably still do.

Flip-off at Ford
The moron that heckled President Trump at a Michigan Ford plant is reportedly reaping thousands via Gofundme (“Don flips off jerk,” Jan. 14).
Why? This clown made a fool of himself and the lunatic left considered him a hero. Trump perhaps shouldn’t have shot the bird to the heckler, but the president was there to tout how much his policies are helping the auto industry.
Hopefully this guy will like his new job better than working at Ford.

No more handouts
What part of “illegal” do modern-day Democrats just not understand (“$600B Fed Fraud Tab Is Bleeding Us Dry,” Betsy McCaughey, PostOpinion, Jan. 13)?
These illegal migrants came here in the hundreds of thousands because of our ex-president. They came here because Democrats made them think the streets are lined with gold — and made sure it is by giving them everything free when they get off the bus.
I’m tired of my hard-earned tax dollars being wasted and lining someone’s pocket with government-funded programs.
You want to come here, come the right way, get vetted, get a work permit and get a job like most Americans. Work for your money and stop looking for free stuff.

Tell Israel’s truth
NYC Educators for Palestine is offering a series of lessons for schoolchildren — which is an attempt to indoctrinate young people into Jew hate and Israel hate (“NYC ‘Teach-in’ hate,” Jan. 11) .
This must be responded to strongly, with the truth, by Jewish advocacy organizations and leaders, who can set up teach-ins of their own.
Please, Jewish agencies and leaders, set up an educational program for school children to counter all the lies about Jews and Israel.
