The Issue: Gov. Hochulβs move to implement new oversight measures to monitor Mayor Adams.
The only dictator in this sordid mess surrounding Mayor Adams is Gov. Hochul (βStringing Eric along,β Feb. 21).
During her televised speech β disguised as a review of the mayor β she said she would seek to limit his powers by installing a deputy inspector general to oversee his actions.
Does this mean that if the mayor allows ICE to work with law enforcement to go after illegal-alien criminals, the inspector could somehow veto it? So who would really be the mayor β Adams or the inspector general?
The whole thing is a charade meant to increase Hochulβs power over the city. Of course, she would also have the ability to remove either Adams or the inspector general at a later date.

Gov. Hochulβs announcement that sheβs keeping Mayor Adams in office while imposing more oversight for the remainder of his term is classic Hochul: politically correct, cowardly and insubstantial all at once.

Hochul continues to behave like a mix of a tyrant and a yokel. She relentlessly hounds and harasses Eric Adams, claiming he entered into a βquid pro quoβ arrangement with President Trump and border czar Tom Homan, threatening New Yorkβs sanctuary status.
She is an obnoxious, aggressive and abrasive politician who seems to delight in wielding power cruelly. The people of New York would do themselves a favor by organizing a recall election and hoisting her out of state office.

Hochul fails to see the irony in calling out βKing Trumpβ for his dealng with Mayor Adams while simultaneously appointing an inspector general to oversee City Hall.
How about everyone does their job in the best interest of New York City and lets the voters decide who deserves to stay in office?

All the attacks on Mayor Adams have proven what some of us have known for years: There seem to be no moderate Democrats in New York anymore.

The governor says we donβt bow to a king, yet she bows to the Rev. Al Sharpton (βKatβs Questionable Consigliere,β Editorial, Feb. 21).
She has got to be joking: Sharpton is nothing more than a loudmouth troublemaker, and Hochul should think twice before seeking such dubious counsel.
Meanwhile, she is refusing to execute the office of governor like she was sworn to do. Eric Adams has been charged with corruption. Hochul needs to get a backbone and remove him from office instead of procrastinating and giving us a line of rhetorical garbage.
Keeping Adams in City Hall will only add to Hochulβs list of failures in the next election cycle. This is not a bright move, I have to say.

Nothing screams dysfunction, corruption and insanity quite like a photo of the in-over-her-head Kathy Hochul seeking advice from tax-evading, race-baiting charlatan Al Sharpton about Eric Adams.

Gov. Hochul was reportedly considering removing Mayor Adams because of his cooperation with President Trump in removing criminal illegal migrants from New York City.
Adams, a retired police captain, was being targeted while Hochul sought guidance from Al Sharpton, a longtime advocate for criminals rights? Interesting.
Meanwhile, there have been calls to remove District Attorney Alvin Bragg for his refusal to prosecute thousands of criminals, yet Hochul has ignored them.

Hochul seeking advice from Rev. Al Sharpton is shameful. He is untrustworthy. Hochul needs to be fired immediately.
