President-elect Donald Trump was sentenced to an “unconditional discharge” in the New York state hush money case in which he was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The sentence leaves intact the Manhattan jury’s guilty verdict on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records while shielding the president-elect from any punishment in the case. It also left open his options for appeal, which his attorney, Todd Blanche, said he would pursue.
