OPINION| Β For America First conservatives and Trump supporters, the news out of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is yet another gut-wrenching example of why border security isnβt just a policy preferenceβitβs a matter of life and death. On February 21, 2025, 26-year-old Mackendy Darbouze, a Haitian national flown into the United States under Joe Bidenβs reckless migrant parole program, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder. His alleged victims? A 77-year-old grandmother, Beatrice Desir, and two innocent children, ages 13 and 4. This isnβt just a tragedy; itβs a preventable outrage that lays bare the consequences of the Biden administrationβs open-borders agenda.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a home on Bell Arthur Drive. When they arrived, Darbouze greeted them at the door, his hands, face, and pants smeared with blood. Inside, they discovered the horrific scene: three family members stabbed to death. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Darbouze prowling the house with a knife, and investigators later found a bloody blade in his room. Three other children were present in the home at the time, spared only by chance from this alleged rampage. Darbouze, an adopted relative living with the family, now sits in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond, facing justice for a crime that has shaken the community to its core.
But hereβs the kicker that should make every Trump supporterβs blood boil: Darbouze didnβt sneak across the border or overstay a visa. He was flown into the United States in July 2024, courtesy of Bidenβs Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV) migrant flights program. This wasnβt some random loophole; it was a deliberate policy choice by the Biden administration to parole over 530,000 unvetted migrants directly into American cities, bypassing traditional immigration checks. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Darbouzeβs entry under this program, noting he doesnβt even speak EnglishβICE had to interview him in Creole. Yet, despite this, he was waved through, given a two-year pass to roam free among us. And now, two children and their grandmother are dead.

For those of us who backed President Trumpβs America First vision, this is the kind of nightmare scenario we warned about. Trump shut down this very program on his first day back in office, recognizing it as a national security disaster waiting to happen. Under Biden, though, it was allowed to spiral out of control, with over 200,000 Haitians alone taking advantage of the CHNV scheme. Darbouze isnβt an isolated case either. Other Haitian migrants brought in under Bidenβs watchβlike Cory Alvarez, accused of raping a disabled teen in Massachusetts, or Akim Marc Desire, charged with molesting a 10-year-old boyβhave left a trail of victims in their wake. Meanwhile, Venezuelan migrants like Jose Ibarra, convicted of murdering nursing student Laken Riley, show this isnβt just a Haitian problemβitβs a systemic failure of Bidenβs border policies.
Trump supporters know the score: secure borders save lives. The left loves to paint immigration enforcement as heartless, but whatβs heartless is letting unvetted foreigners waltz in and wreak havoc on American families. Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West, a 25-year veteran prosecutor, called this case βas bad as any Iβve heard about.β Thatβs what weβre dealing withβcrimes so heinous they shock even the most seasoned lawmen. And yet, Biden and his DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas spent years rolling out the red carpet for people like Darbouze, all while gaslighting Americans about βsafe and orderlyβ migration.
The America First movement has always been about putting our citizens firstβour safety, our jobs, our communities. This tragedy in Fayetteville is a stark reminder of why Trumpβs wall, his deportation push, and his hardline stance on immigration werenβt just campaign promisesβthey were a blueprint to protect us. Bidenβs team claimed the CHNV program had vetting, but if Darbouze slipped through, what else are we missing? How many more ticking time bombs are out there, courtesy of a White House that cared more about optics than American lives?
For conservatives, this isnβt about hateβitβs about accountability. Darbouze will face justice, but what about the policymakers who let him in? Whereβs the reckoning for Biden, Harris, and Mayorkas, whose hands are stained with the blood of Beatrice Desir and those two kids? Trumpβs back in charge now, and heβs already moving to undo this mess. But the damage is done, and itβs up to usβpatriots who love this countryβto keep sounding the alarm. We canβt bring back the victims, but we can damn well make sure this never happens again. America First means borders first, and cases like this prove why thatβs non-negotiable.
