House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is now demanding that the Trump Department of Justice launch its own investigation into former President Joe Biden’s autopen scandal.

On Tuesday, the committee’s GOP-led majority released a damning 100-page report about Biden’s use of a so-called autopen.

The report accused the former president of being so “cognitively impaired” that his staff took a “laissez-faire approach that treated the use of the autopen as a mundane practice,” according to The Hill.

The Trump White House, for its part, is already in the process of reviewing one million Biden documents that were signed by his autopen:

“Faced with the cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, White House aides — at the direction of the inner circle — hid the truth about the former president’s condition and fitness for office,” the report read.

They hid the truth by signing orders with the autopen, even in situations where the president allegedly knew barely anything about said orders.

“The fact that the Biden White House did not have—or did not follow—a set procedure governing the use of the autopen was yet another weak link in the chain of presidential decisionmaking,” the report read.

“This represents another vulnerability which may have been exploited to carry out the duties of the diminished president without his complete understanding or consent,” it continued.

The report referred to it as a “presidential pardon game of Telephone.” In the game Telephone, one person (A) whispers something into someone else’s (B) ear. Then that person (B) whispers the same thing to someone else (C), and so on and so on.

What researchers have found is that each time the message is passed on to someone else, it becomes more and more distorted.

The report further suggested that Biden’s executive orders should therefore be made “void” since they were signed by autopen.

“Barring evidence of executive actions taken during the Biden presidency showing that President Biden indeed took a particular executive action, the Committee deems those actions taken through use of the autopen as void,” the report read.

“The validity of the executive actions allegedly approved and signed (largely by autopen) by President Biden must be reviewed to determine whether legal action is necessary to ameliorate the consequences of any illegitimate pardons granted, or executive actions implemented, throughout the Biden Autopen Presidency,” it continued.

According to the Washington Post, on Tuesday, the committee also sent Attorney General Pam Bondi a letter requesting that she take action.

“The committee requests that you investigate all executive actions taken during the Biden Administration to ascertain whether they are duly authorized by the President of the United States,” the letter read.

Former President Biden has, for his part, repeatedly claimed that he personally directed every executive order.

“I made every single one of those [decisions],” he told the New York Times in July. “The autopen is, you know, is legal. As you know, other presidents used it, including Trump.”

That’s true, but the difference, Republicans allege, is that Biden’s staff used it all the time — and sometimes without him even knowing.

Biden nevertheless accused Republicans, particularly President Donald Trump, of being liars.

“They’re liars,” he said. “They know it. They know, for certain. I mean, this is — look, what they, they’ve had a pretty good thing going here. They’ve done so badly. They’ve lied so consistently about almost everything they’re doing. The best thing they can do is try to change the focus and focus on something else. And this is a — I think that’s what this is about.”
