Joe Biden was joined by former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton at a fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall.

The fundraiser was full of stars and brought in $26 million.

There were also protests at the event.

NBC News reported:

President Joe Biden was joined Thursday by two of his Democratic predecessors for a star-studded fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall that his campaign said brought in more than $26 million.

Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton participated in the event in New York with more than 5,000 supporters in attendance — including several protesters who interrupted the program when the three presidents were speaking.

Actor and comedian Mindy Kaling hosted the program, which ended at around 10 p.m., and late night host Stephen Colbert moderated a conversation with Biden, Clinton and Obama. Special guests include celebrities like Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele.

During the nearly hourlong moderated conversation, Colbert joked that the moment was historic because “three presidents have come to New York, and not one of them to appear in court,” taking a jab at former President Donald Trump’s criminal indictments and civil trials.

GOP megadonor and Point Bridge Capital founder Hal Lambert said that this big fundraiser was actually a bad sign for Joe Biden.

Lambert said, “Having the celebrities there and having the former presidents there says a lot about Biden’s effort to be able to raise money on his own.”

Fox News reported:

Despite the eye-popping figure, one Republican megadonor claimed to Fox News the event was actually a bad sign for the incumbent.

Point Bridge Capital founder Hal Lambert told “Your World” a factor in the haul was the guest list and the figures who were appearing alongside Biden. For instance, a group photo with Biden, former President Clinton and former President Obama would reportedly set an attendee back $100,000.

Lambert, whose investment firm features the “MAGA” ETF, said Biden will raise “plenty of money,” but questioned how much he would haul in if it weren’t for his star-studded partners and emcees.

“Having the celebrities there and having the former presidents there says a lot about Biden’s effort to be able to raise money on his own,” Lambert said.

“I don’t think he would come close to that number of $25 million had he not had all the celebrities and not the former presidents there.”
