Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey delivered a stark warning Thursday to potential left-wing protesters, stating they will face lethal consequences if they assault law enforcement officers during planned demonstrations.
“We will kill you,” he threatened during one part of his remarks that have since taken social media by storm.
The sheriff’s comments come ahead of nationwide “No Kings” protests scheduled for Saturday, which aim to oppose President Donald Trump’s administration and have raised concerns among law enforcement agencies about possible violence.
Ivey made clear that Brevard County will not tolerate destructive behavior targeting law enforcement or property damage during the demonstrations.
“I’m gonna break it down for you, alright, and if somebody wants to know what I mean by turn violent,” Ivey said during his announcement.
The sheriff outlined specific consequences for various forms of resistance and civil disobedience within his jurisdiction.
“If you resist lawful orders, you’re going to jail. Let me be very clear about that. If you block an intersection or a roadway in Brevard County, you are going to jail,” Ivey stated.
He continued detailing escalating responses to different levels of confrontation with authorities.
“If you flee arrest, you’re gonna go to jail tired because we are going to run you down and put you in jail. If you try to mob rule a car in Brevard County, gathering around it, refusing to let the driver leave in our county, you’re gonna get run over and dragged across the street.”
The sheriff’s most severe warnings addressed direct attacks on law enforcement personnel.
“If you spit on us, you are going to the hospital and then to jail. If you hit one of us, you’re going to the hospital and jail and likely will get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs we have here,” Ivey declared.
His statement concluded with the most serious threat regarding weapons-based attacks on deputies.
“If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at. Because we will kill you, graveyard dead,” Ivey continued.
“We’re not going to play.”

These warnings follow violent riots that have occurred in Los Angeles since Friday, where protesters have engaged in destructive activities.
Rioters in Los Angeles have burned vehicles, vandalized buildings, attacked police officers and thrown Molotov cocktails and fireworks in response to ICE raids that resulted in over 100 arrests of illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes.
Florida state officials have indicated that anyone attempting to riot will face arrest or potentially lethal force if they engage in violent behavior as anti-ICE demonstration threats continue.
The “No Kings” organization describes itself as anti-Trump and has organized what it calls a “day of defiance” against the current administration through street demonstrations across the United States.
They are “taking action” to “reject authoritarianism” and “show what democracy really looks like,” according to the organization’s website.
Law enforcement agencies have made arrests in connection with the Los Angeles violence, including serious charges against participants.
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Tuesday that Emiliano Garduno-Galvez, a Mexican national who entered the United States illegally, will face murder charges for throwing a Molotov cocktail toward ICE agents Saturday.
Additional violence occurred when rioters threw rocks at Customs and Border Protection agents attempting to leave Paramount, California, resulting in one agent suffering a minor injury to his hand after a rock shattered the windshield.
Local businesses responded to the ongoing unrest by boarding up windows to prevent damage from looting that had occurred earlier in the week.
Similar anti-ICE riots erupted in New York City Tuesday and extended into Wednesday, resulting in multiple arrests by law enforcement.
CBS News reported that authorities took 86 people into custody Following Tuesday’s New York demonstrations, with 34 facing formal arrests on various charges including disorderly conduct.
