The Issue: Nationwide “No Kings” protests against President Trump and his policies.

What a bunch of hypocrites: These protesters want the Trump administration to follow the laws of our country. Well, except for the immigration laws and other laws that they don’t particularly care for (“ ‘No Kings’ rallies vs. Trump,” Oct. 19).

How about the fact that President Trump was elected by the majority of votes per our election laws?

Robert Leavy

Middle Village

The “No Kings” protests, funded by George Soros, are nothing more than a socialist movement with Antifa groups and a lot of unhinged people. This is more Trump Derangement Syndrome.

This is the United States of America, and we do not want to lose it. These participants need to go home and stop the madness or be arrested.

Kate Phelan

Boca Raton, Fla.

Trump’s response to peaceful “No Kings” protests around the country was to post a video of himself dropping bombs of human waste on his own people (“Obscene ‘Jester,’ ” Oct. 20).

Had the president listened to and addressed the concerns of the people, they would not have felt the need to gather in protest.

Trump’s AI video is not evidence of great leadership. Any hope of him winning a Nobel Peace Prize in the future has been lost — collateral damage of his own making.

Denise Saupé

Minneapolis, Minn.

One would think that someone in the “No Kings” crowd would give a measure of credit to Trump.

The president’s successes, like establishing a secure border, creating a thriving economy, lowering health costs, taking boys out of girls’ sports, reducing crime, stopping illegal drug flow, working to make cities safer, stopping wars and securing peace deals did not show up on any protest signs.

No one in this group had the courage to issue a complimentary message. They chose to focus on the negatives and entirely ignored the positives.

Jack Ridolph

The Villages, Fla.

All you need to know about the Democrats is this: They won’t open up the government and negotiate but will join the protests funded by George Soros, who hates America.

Meanwhile, people aren’t getting paid and are being laid off, and Dems are marching.

Protesting won’t accomplish anything. It’s all for show, and Trump isn’t going anywhere.

Stephen Colasacco

The Bronx

These Kool-Aid drinking “No Kings” protesters are stupid. If we really had a king, protests wouldn’t be allowed.

The Issue: Melissa Fabello calling Taylor Swift racist, comparing her new song to a “pro-eugenics” anthem.

Melissa Fabello is making assumptions about Taylor Swift’s song with no concrete evidence (“Twisted meaning of ‘life,’ ”Oct. 17).

Who is she to know what Swift meant by her lyrics? This is just another attempt to demonize Swift and another example of a liberal causing harm.

John Gallo

Otego

Fabello’s mean-spirited criticism of Swift’s desire for children is a perfect example of what happens to the twisted minds of disaffected, bitter individuals who choose to scorn those with a conventional lifestyle, rather than choosing to live it themselves.

Fabello invoking racism, eugenics and homophobia in Swift’s music is absurd. It is best to ignore her.

Mel Young

Lawrence

Who cares what Fabello thinks of Taylor Swift or what she thinks of anything for that matter?

Taylor is a national treasure — leave her alone.
