POLITICS: Candace Owens’ Australian Visa Cancelled by Immigration Minister

The Australian immigration minister has canceled the visa of “Far-right” political commentator and “extremist influencer” Candace Owens on the grounds that her statements and comments have the potential to “incite discord.”

Knewz.com has learned that the reportedly Donald Trump-aligned pundit has allegedly made several comments over the years denigrating the Jewish, Muslim, and transgender communities.

Australia is currently seeing numerous protests across the country against the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Australian immigration minister Tony Burke said in a statement that Owens would not be allowed into the country since her statements could worsen the already tense climate of the nation during said domestic protests.

It has been reported that the cancellation of Owens’s visa is part of the Australian government‘s active efforts to lower the political temperature.

Immigration Minister Burke said in a statement regarding the matter:

“From downplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about [German SS officer Josef] Mengele through to claims that Muslims started slavery, Candace Owens has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction.”

“Australia’s national interest is best served when Candace Owens is somewhere else,” he added.

German Nazi officer Josef Mengele has been described by the United States Holocaust Museum’s encyclopedia as one of the most infamous figures of the Holocaust.

He was the most prominent of a group of Nazi doctors who conducted inhumane, painful, and often deadly medical experiments on prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp in erstwhile German-occupied Poland.

“Many of the people subjected to experiments at Auschwitz died as a result of the procedures. In some experiments, death was the intended outcome,” the encyclopedia says about the heinous war criminal.

“He was a highly trained doctor and medical researcher, as well as a decorated war veteran. He was respected in his field and worked for one of the leading research institutions in Germany… And he was one of a number of medical professionals who selected victims to be murdered in the gas chambers at Auschwitz,” the encyclopedia further states.

However, Owens, a prominent conservative political commentator, has dismissed claims of Mengele’s crimes upon imprisoned Jews as “bizarre propaganda.”

It has been reported that Owens had also previously claimed that Israel was founded by a “cult” and that there are “secret Jewish gangs” operating in Hollywood.

As a result, Jewish groups in Australia called for her visa to be canceled in August 2024 ahead of her scheduled tour of the country, to which the Immigration Minister said that he would, indeed, block it.

“Tickets to [Owens’s] events are selling for $100. I hope she has a good refunds policy,” Burke had commented at the time.

According to reports, Owens’s “conservative activism” earned her a place at the conservative media company The Daily Wire, where she got to host her own political talk show.

However, she was let go from her position after she made a string of antisemitic comments.

Currently, Owens hosts her own YouTube channel, where she continues to spread her own line of propaganda among her 18 million followers.

It is worth noting that the conservative pundit stated that she intends to move forward with her scheduled Australian tour, which the event website described as a delivery of “raw and unfiltered commentary on politics, culture, and everyday life.”

She said in a statement to an Australian radio station:

“It’s kind of incredible to think people could be so fearful of just speech and conversation… I was quite surprised to see that: they were like ‘Don’t give her a visa, she’s a bad person’. But I promise you it is not going to harm you to hear different ideas.”
