That’s the horror at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in Canada, where at least 10 are dead (including the suspect) and 25 injured in a rampage, with two more dead at a connected site nearby. The suspect, initially described as a “woman in a dress,” has been identified by media as 18-year-old Jesse Strang, a trans biological male who used she/her pronouns and displayed the trans flag on a public YouTube account. Family confirmation came from his uncle, Russell G. Strang, but police have withheld the name officially, leading to speculation they’re protecting the narrative by treating the shooter as a victim.
