Musical muck

I am disgusted and sickened by the new musical about the cowardly murderer, Luigi Mangione, coming to New York City this summer (“Staging Villain ‘Luigi,’ ” March 4).

The people who have created this trash are as depraved and unhinged as Mangione. He’s a gutless, cowardly, back-shooter who killed a decent human being. Mangione should not be celebrated but denounced and condemned for his killing of Brian Thompson.

I will boycott this trash and I ask all intelligent people to do the same.

Cold, cold heart

Principal Shanesha White Bailey should be fired immediately for removing a makeshift shelter for stray cats during New York’s big snowstorms. (“She’s no principal of cats,” March 1).

Apart from her cruel act of allowing elderly cats to be buried in snow, she sent a message to impressionable young minds that callousness and cruelty to others is acceptable, which is the last thing students should be taught.

Repay NY drivers

As a New York driver, I understand the city’s need to address congestion and improve transportation, but congestion pricing currently sends most of the revenue to the MTA even though drivers are paying the fee (“Judge upholds conge$tion,” March 4).

Commuters in New York use roads that taxis, delivery drivers, emergency vehicles and even city buses rely on every day. After winter storms, potholes and damaged streets remind drivers that road infrastructure is aging too.

If drivers are contributing congestion fees, it’s only fair that a portion of the revenue also be invested in the roads those drivers depend on.

Anti-US education

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is right that taxpayers are tired of funding tuitions at woke schools indoctrinating the military (“Military ban on colleges,” March 2).

I’m a US Navy veteran and I’ve seen for decades the destruction these schools have caused. Hegseth is 100% right when he said “for decades, the Ivy League and similar institutions have gorged themselves on a trust fund of American taxpayer dollars only to become factories of anti-American resentment and military disdain.”

DAs’ duties

A father has been convicted of murder in Georgia for buying his son, who is an alleged school shooter, a rifle (“ ‘Killer gun’ dad,” March 4).

Could that standard apply to judges and district attorneys in other states? In Virginia, a judge and DA allowed a criminal with 30 prior arrests to walk free. He then went on to murder a mother while that judge and DA went home and slept well in their beds.

This has to end. Judges, district attorneys, governors and politicians who protect these criminals should all be held accountable just like that father.

Sedaka’s talents

Talents like singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka don’t come around every day (“Sedaka led uptempo life,” Cindy Adams, March 2).

Not only was Sedaka gifted, he was a genuine mensch. His legacy includes his many hit songs. And no doubt, he will be sorely missed.
