Move over, Barack Obama, your time in the spotlight is over.
The White House has just relocated a portrait of Obama in order to make way for a beautiful new painting depicting President Trump’s iconic “Fight, fight, fight!” moment after nearly being assassinated in Butler, PA last July.
The piece is historic for multiple reasons.
Originally painted by Marc Lipp, the artwork was gifted to the White House by Andrew Pollack, the father of one of the teenage victims in the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting.

The New York Post has more details on the big change at the White House:
A dramatic depiction of President Trump moments after he was grazed by a would-be assassin’s bullet replaced a portrait of former President Barack Obama at the White House on Friday.
The new painting — which appears to be an artistic interpretation of one of the iconic images captured by New York Times photographer Doug Mills in Butler, Pa., last July — is hanging in a prominent spot in the Grand Foyer of the East Wing of the White House, social media posts from the White House and White House officials show.
The artwork depicts Trump, with blood splattered across his face and the American flag in the background, defiantly raising his fist in the air as Secret Service agents attempt to shield and rush him off stage.
The artist behind the painting is Marc Lipp, and the piece was gifted to the White House by Andrew Pollack, a White House official told The Post.
Pollack is an author and school safety advocate whose 18-year-old daughter, Meadow, was among the 17 students killed in the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.
As for the Obama portrait – a photorealistic depiction of the former president by artist Robert McCurdy – the White House has found a new piece of wall space for it just across the hall.
The Hill added:
A portrait of President Trump that depicts him raising his fist immediately following the attempt on his life last summer at a Butler, Pa., rally is replacing an image of former President Obama in a prominent spot inside the White House.
Dan Scavino, the White House deputy chief of staff, posted side-by-side photos on social media of the Trump artwork seemingly replacing the Obama painting on Friday at the bottom of the Grand Staircase.
The artwork of the 47th president shows him bloodied with an American flag waving behind him after he survived the assassination attempt last July. A White House spokesperson didn’t immediately return a request for comment about the artist behind the painting.
The image of Trump appeared to take the place of a portrait of Obama that was unveiled at the White House in 2022. The lifelike portrait by artist Robert McCurdy shows the former president sporting a black suit and gray tie in front of a white background.
