Earlier today, I brought you this report on the newly-released text messages between Tyler Robinson and his live-in boyfriend.

In case you missed it:

BREAKING: Text Messages Between Tyler Robinson and Boyfriend Roommate Released

In that initial report, I noted that this just didn’t “feel” right, even as I was covering it.

It was just a gut-reaction I had at the moment that I hadn’t fully formed into ideas and words, but it all just felt “off”.

Now I am prepared to put these gut-reactions down into words, with the help of some friends.

Starting right here:

Excellent points!

I know a lot of young people and it’s extremely rare to find young people who write in complete sentences, properly capitalize all words, use a ton of punctuation (correctly) and use formal words like “vehicle”.

I couldn’t quite put my finger on it earlier, but this helps immensely!

Does that sound like a 22-year-old (under extreme duress) wrote that or an FBI agent trying to SOUND like a 22-year-old?

Now let’s go even deeper….because I think this continues to perfectly explain what I am feeling:

I try not to be a conspiracy theorist, but I have a REALLY hard time believing in a short text exchange, the alleged shooter:

> Makes his confession.
> Confirms location of the weapon.
> Confirms the type of weapon.
> Confirms it was wrapped in a towel.
> Confirms his motive.
> Exonerates the decoy [George Zinn].
> Admits to the bullet engravings.
> Confirms the wardrobe change.
> Confirms how long he’s been planning it.
> Discloses the existence and location of a [now destroyed] pre-written confession note.
> Randomly tells his boyfriend that his dad is die hard MAGA (as if he wouldn’t already know given the nature of their relationship)
> And is worried about his Dad/Grandpa being upset if he doesn’t come home with the rifle, not the fact that he just used it to commit a murder.

Not to mention a 22-year old terminally online Zoomer using phrases like:

“Squad car”
“Drop point”
“Swept the area”
“My vehicle”
“Till I died of old age”
“My old man”

I’m sorry, I just don’t believe it.

I think the MAGA part is especially a smoking gun…

It just feels so completely out of place.

Read the transcript of those text messages again and see what you think:

Roommate: After reading the note, the roommate responded, “What?????????????????? You’re joking, right????”

Robinson: I am still ok my love, but am stuck in Orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.

Roommate: You weren’t the one who did it, right????

Robinson: I am, I’m sorry.

Roommate: I thought they caught the person?

Robinson: No, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down. It’s quiet, almost enough to get out, but there’s one vehicle lingering.

Roommate: Why?

Robinson: Why did I do it?

Roommate: Yeah.

Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.

Roommate: How long have you been planning this?

Robinson: A bit over a week I believe. I can get close to it but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don’t wanna chance it.

Robinson: I’m wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle. … I’m worried what my old man would do if I didn’t bring back grandpa’s rifle. … idk if it had a serial number, but it wouldn’t trace to me. I worry about prints I had to leave in a bush where I changed outfits, didn’t have the ability or time to bring it with. … I might have to abandon it and hope they don’t find prints. How the fuck will I explain losing it to my old man …

Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel. …

Remember how I was engraving bullets? The fuckin messages are mostly a big meme, if I see “notices bulge uwu” on Fox News I might have a stroke. Alright I’m gonna have to leave it, that really fucking sucks. …

Robinson: Judging from today I’d say grandpa’s gun does just fine idk. I think that was a $2k scope ;-;

Delete this exchange.

My dad wants photos of the rifle … he says grandpa wants to know who has what, the feds released a photo of the rifle, and it is very unique. He’s calling me rn, not answering.

Since Trump got into office [my dad] has been pretty diehard MAGA.

Robinson: I’m gonna turn myself in willingly, one of my neighbors here is a deputy for the sheriff.

You are all I worry about love.

I’m much more worried about you.

Don’t talk to the media please. Don’t take any interviews or make any comments. … If any police ask you questions ask for a lawyer and stay silent.

Is that how a normal person would talk?

Does that fit any part of the conversation?

If this was Tyler’s “boyfriend” wouldn’t the boyfriend already know all of that?

It just doesn’t make any sense if you ask me.

I said it earlier today and I’ll say it again now….this feels COMPLETELY inauthentic to me.  It feels exactly like when those 9/11 hijacker passports suddenly fell down from the sky completely undamaged and told us that it was obviously Osama Bin Laden and his goons that did this.

Sorry folks, fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice?  Not gonna happen.

Now a few extras….

I keep looking at this kid and asking how in the world he pulled off that shot, got into position with no one noticing, then escaped without anyone noticing, the FBI only had two kinda bad photos of him despite the fact that cameras are EVERYWHERE today, and then he evaded all law enforcement for 33 hours and the ONLY reason the FBI eventually caught him was because the father turned him in….and I am very confused:
