ABC 4 reports:
Milton, currently a Category 4 storm, is predicted to make landfall late Wednesday or Thursday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.
As many as 5.9 million people in Florida are under mandatory evacuation orders due to the storm, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates. Roughly 3.3 million residents were told to flee the Tampa, Fla., as the rain is expected to swell the cityβs waterways causing mass flooding.
The latest storm, likely to be the worst to hit the Sunshine Stateβs west coast in more than a century, comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc in the southeastern U.S.
Eric Trumpβs post comes after the former president launched a GoFundMe page earlier this month for victims of Helene, which made landfall in Floridaβs Big Bend region late last month. The page has now raised more than $7 million.
βPresident Trump is reportedly putting up Hurricane Milton linemen readying to serve Floridaβs hurricane victims for free at his Trump Doral resort in Miami This is America First,β Benny Johnson commented.

Trump has blasted the Biden-Harris administrationβs response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has faced massive criticism for alleged mismanagement of funds.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas faced a new firestorm after a watchdog report disputed his claims that FEMA doesnβt have the funding to withstand the remainder of hurricane season.
βWe are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have, we are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) does not have the funds to make it through the season,βΒ MayorkasΒ previously said.
