βI voted Democrat, and I got to tell you something right now, I donβt like the fact that I did. I donβt like what Iβm seeing,β Smith told βLife, Liberty & Levinβ host Mark Levin.
βI donβt think anybody could dismiss Donald Trump at this particular moment of time. Not just because of him but because of what weβve seen the Democrats do. Weβre not falling for it any longer. The American people arenβt falling for it any longer,β he explained.
βI donβt want to hear about, βOh weβre about the law. Nobodyβs above the law. Nobodyβs above the law.β But then you go out, and you pardon your son, and you try to blame everybody else for it. I donβt want to hear about defund the police. I donβt want to hear about, you know what? There should be open borders. I donβt want to hear this stuff. And I donβt think most of the American people want to hear that,β Smith told Levin.

Per Fox News:
Following the election, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders pinned blame for Harrisβ loss on the Democratic Party for βabandoningβ the working class, sparking a rebuke from former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
βIt should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change,β Sanders posted to X in November, accompanied by a press release on the election results. βAnd theyβre right.β
Smith told Levin he is βno longer interested inβ¦ listening to a bunch of fearmongering to tell us who we shouldnβt vote for.β
βWhy donβt you come up with a plan that tells us why we should vote for you?β he posited.
βWeβre not about America only, but being about America and prioritizing whatβs going on in this nation with the desolate and the disenfranchized and everybody else in between, and looking out for the best interests of what it is for Americaβ¦ that is not a crime for an American politician or commander in chief or senator or congressional figure to have that mentality,β he continued.
Smith said heβs βopen-mindedβ about potentially voting for Republican candidates.
βIf Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, Byron Donalds, Marco Rubio, or a host of other Republican candidates coming down the pike, thatβs the kind of message that theyβre going to put forth, Iβm down for it. Iβm open-minded enough to make sure that they entertain that from a policy perspective. Thatβs what I want for the American people. Thatβs what I want for this nation,β he said.
