Earlier today, President Trump declared victory on a greatly reduced CR Bill.
Here was his post on TruthSocial asking all Republicans to vote YES tonight:

SUCCESS in Washington!
Speaker Mike Johnson and the House have come to a very good Deal for the American People. The newly agreed to American Relief Act of 2024 will keep the Government open, fund our Great Farmers and others, and provide relief for those severely impacted by the devastating hurricanes.
A VERY important piece, VITAL to the America First Agenda, was added as well – The date of the very unnecessary Debt Ceiling will be pushed out two years, to January 30, 2027. Now we can Make America Great Again, very quickly, which is what the People gave us a mandate to accomplish.
All Republicans, and even the Democrats, should do what is best for our Country, and vote “YES” for this Bill, TONIGHT!

One name jumped out at me, Thomas Massie.
I trust this guy.
I know many of you do too.
I’m still 100% team Trump, but I’m also a big Thomas Massie fan and I trust his recommendations.
And here’s what Massie posted about the new Bill:
This isn’t complicated.
Separate the bills and vote on them individually.

I gotta say, he’s 100% right.
You want all of those things?
Fine!
Great!
Put them each to a separate vote and put each one in a 1-2 page document.
If you can’t do that or won’t do that, then you don’t deserve any of them and I hope they keep the Government shut down for years if that’s what it takes!

We didn’t just want LESS crap, we wanted NO crap.
If our Government cannot give that to us, then it does not deserve to be our Government.
SHUT IT DOWN.
Many other members of Congress reported they were given less than 1 hour to read the new Bill, which is absurd!
Congress failed again in its responsibility to fund the government on time.
While the most egregious items were taken out of the original CR, I cannot support the negotiated deal that raises the debt by $4 trillion rather than making the cuts necessary to rein in government…

It’s not the number of pages that matter – it’s what’s in those pages.
This CR had the same level of spending today as it did yesterday, but the debt ceiling was suspended, meaning there was no limit on the debt. I don’t trust Congress or the government to spend responsibly…

Bottom line, I’m still 100% Team Trump and that’s not changing, but these people are right.
If you can’t give us a clean Bill, then no one should be forced to vote on something they weren’t even given time to read.
