In an interview on Fox News, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) expressed support for President Trump serving another term in office.

“Trump 2028. I hope this never ends,” Graham said.

“When he asks what should you do if a Russian jet flies into your country, shoot it down,” he added.

The senator continued, “He put Putin on notice today that ‘I’m going to give Ukraine– sell Ukraine the weapons they need to continue this fight and it’s coming to your backyard.’ He told the Europeans if you don’t stop buying Russian oil and gas you got nobody to blame but yourself. Hungary, Slovakia, and Turkey are buying a billion dollars of Russian oil and gas a month.”

Graham concluded, “So God bless President Trump. I think he gave the right message on the world stage and, you know, he told the world what they needed to hear – up your game.”

Graham previously expressed support for a third Trump term in the White House in March, writing, “My take on President @realDonaldTrump’s address tonight: Inspiring, funny, compelling and the Democrats’ worst nightmare. Trump 2028!”

Trump said Tuesday he thinks Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to “fight and win” all of its territory back in its original form in the conflict against Russia.

President Trump Says Ukraine Is In Position To “Fight And WIN” In Conflict Against Russia

“After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option,” Trump said.

“Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like ‘a paper tiger.’ When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!” he continued.

“Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!” he added.

When previously asked if he thought Trump could run for another term, Graham said to “ask me in ’27.”

“I hope he runs again,” Graham told Sean Hannity.

The Hill reported in March:

The U.S. Constitution makes clear that a person can be elected president no more than two times, but Trump’s repeated remarks about a potential third term have led to talk about the possibility.

Trump on Sunday gave some of his most expansive remarks on the subject to date, telling NBC News there are potential workarounds that could allow him to serve a third term.

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration. … I’m focused on the current.”

When asked to clarify, Trump maintained that he was “not joking.”

Trump has floated the idea of running for a third term several times since he was elected, including recently at a St. Patrick’s Day event, when he told the Irish prime minister that he looks forwarded to celebrating together “at least” three more times.

“When I say, ‘at least,’ they go absolutely crazy,” Trump said at the time, referring to the press, which elicited laughs in the room. “So thank you very much for being here.”
