If you gave me all day long to come up with a take this bad, I’m not sure I could do it.
So credit to Rand Paul for literally taking the side of the violent, drug-smuggling cartels smuggling their product into our country.
Hard to believe this is even real, but I have the video tape.
Watch this interview on Newsmax where Rand Paul expresses his deep concern for the terrorists:

FULL TRANSCRIPT:
You know, I, I, as, I, I personally think that’s a brilliant deterrent to this kind of activity. Is, is that how you see it? You know, I guess, uh, you know, it’s hard to have any sympathy for drug dealers—no, you know, trying to import product into our country.
Uh, but at the same time, I guess you might ask the question, you know, where does it end? Are we the world’s policeman, the international policeman?
Are we gonna be blowing people up off the coast all around the world, trying to interdict? Really, I’m not sure we have the finances to be the world’s policeman. So on the face of it, sounds good, nobody’s gonna—at least—have any kind of lost love for a bunch of drugs going down in the ocean and killing some, some gang members.
Yeah. But at the same time, really, where does it end?
And is it really the constitutional duty of our government to be, uh, you know, uh, policing, uh, international drug trade everywhere around the world? If, if it’s, if it’s Tratado de Guerra sending drugs into this country, though, I, I, you know, that, there’s obviously a line there. I don’t think we’re gonna be bombing people taking drugs from Africa into Europe, right?
Well, no, if it’s coming into our country, I think interdicting drugs coming into our country, absolutely—yeah—there is a US interest in that.
Um, but that’s a real question. You know, I, I don’t know the details of where the drugs were going. They may well have been coming to our country.
Uh, but this was done off the coast of another country, so it is a little bit different. It is, uh, unique.
Hadn’t been done really in decades.
This guy truly is as bad as Massie!
And they both have that awful perm haircut…
Fellas (and I do use that term loosely), too much time sitting under those perm hoods at the hair salon, it’s rotting your brains!
For fck sakes

Or maybe I am off-base…
What are your thoughts?
I mean, even Fetterman is on board with this one:
JUST IN: John Fetterman BACKS President Trump’s evisceration of Venezuelan narcoterrorists “I fully support confronting the scourge of cartel drug trafficking to our nation.”
This should NOT be controversial! pic.twitter.com/oWx2mOaWiE
