President Trump is hoping the Supreme Court will intervene and disrupt a District Judge’s attempt to put his Administration between a rock and a hard place.

Pam Bondi’s DOJ requested the intervention on behalf of the Trump Administration today in response to District Judge Brian Murphy’s injunction against a planeload of deportees headed for offloading in Sudan.

The issue is that the deportees aren’t Sudanese.

And Judge Murphy took issue with the President deporting illegals (those who came here illegally, and committed crimes in America) to a third-party nation willing to take them.

The injunction forced the government to detour to a nearby nation for a pause while the situation gets resolved, which in and of itself puts American lives in danger because of the hostile nature of that country.

The Trump Administration is therefore asking PERMISSION from the Supreme Court to go ahead with deportations to third-party nations in order to keep the process of deportations moving.

And from creating a backlog of deportees — which would effectively slow the President’s immigration policy to a standstill.

Pam Bondi announced the request made to the Supreme Court just a few minutes ago via her X account:

Here’s the full text of her announcement:

The invasion of illegal aliens must end, and the conduct of our nation’s foreign policy cannot be directed by a single federal court judge.

DOJ has asked the Supreme Court to intervene to stop this insanity so that President Trump can continue to deport the worst of the worst illegal aliens.

We will continue to defend President Trump’s lawful authority to make America safe again.

One key issue is the nationwide nature of District Judge Murphy’s injunction.

How these District Judges are still getting away with NATIONWIDE injunction’s against the PRESIDENT which relate to matters far outside their DISTRICT… is an area of frustration for me.

I thought we were past that?

But the injunction reportedly went in to effect last night after Judge Murphy denied the President’s request to postpone the enforcement, according to Fox News:

The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to intervene and allow it to quickly deport illegal immigrants to countries other than their own, Fox News has learned.

The request from the Justice Department comes after a lower-court judge, Brian Murphy, issued a nationwide injunction that halted the Trump administration’s attempts to rapidly deport immigrants residing illegally in the United States to third-party countries not their own.

In a Monday evening ruling, Murphy denied the government’s request to postpone enforcement of his injunction, and, as a result, the Trump administration is now seeking emergency relief from the Supreme Court while the case continues to work its way through the legal system.

Again, the issue of a District Court ruling on federal actions which don’t directly pertain to that court’s DISTRICT — why is that still happening?

The Supreme Court ALREADY ruled that the District Judges do not have that authority, weeks ago.

One of President Trump’s key legal advisers, Stephen Miller, clarified that exact point clearly after the ruling was made following the so-called ‘Maryland Man’ fiasco:

Here’s the full screen video for convenience:

It is possible that the Trump Administration is thinking the same thing — ‘Why are we dealing with this… again?’

And in bringing this request for ‘permission’ to the Supreme Court, they could in effect simply be highlighting the issue and creating the circumstance for the Supreme Court to affirm that they’ve already ruled on that issue.

And put Judge Murphy in his rightful place.

And at the same time, likely give the President ‘permission’ to do as he intends by deporting criminal aliens to third-party nations willing to take them.

I think they call that “two birds… one stone”.

At least, that’s one possibility.

If so — and if it works out that way — that would free the Trump Administration to pursue it’s ORIGINAL plan of deporting similar groups of criminal aliens to Libya and Saudi Arabia, as referenced in this report from The Hill:

U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy issued the injunction in April, but it has taken on increased prominence after the judge found the administration violated the ruling last week by attempting to deport a group of eight migrants with violent criminal convictions to South Sudan.

In response, the plane instead landed at a military base in Djibouti so the migrants can first have an opportunity to contest their removals to South Sudan, a war-torn country that has seen a surge of violence in recent months.

“The district court’s invented process offers little but delay. While certain aliens may benefit from stalling their removal, the Nation does not,” Solicitor General D. John Sauer wrote to the Supreme Court.

As part of its broader immigration crackdown, the Trump administration has looked to employ third country removals, meaning when authorities deport a migrant to a country other than the one on their deportation order issued by an immigration judge.

Murphy, an appointee of former President Biden who serves in Boston, blocked such deportations unless the administration gives the migrant sufficient notice and an opportunity to raise claims that they will face persecution.

The South Sudan flight came after Murphy warned that the administration’s earlier plans to deport migrants to Libya and Saudi Arabia would violate his order.

It remains to be seen how the Supreme Court will respond, given it’s recent pushback against Executive authority.

Don’t forget that only a few weeks ago Chief Justice Roberts made an oddly out-of-character public appearance in which he specified his view that the judicial branch’s job is to CHECK the power of the President:

And then there’s Amy Coney Barrett’s flipflopping.

Former Supreme Court law clerk Mike Davis shared this matchup of SCOTUS rulings and Barrett’s stance on both.

Notice that during Biden’s administration, she argued the Supreme Court shouldn’t get involved in immigration issues before the District Courts had a chance to rule.

And then when it came to President Trump… suddenly the Supreme Court should DEFINITELY rule on immigration issues before the lower courts had a chance to do their thing:

That means the outcome of the DOJ’s request for ‘permission’ could turn out all peachy.

But it could just as easily blow up in the Trump Administration’s face.

The primary argument of Judge Murphy was premised on the possibility that the deportees might face persecution in a third-party nation that is not their native land.

The Trump Administration, quite frankly, SHOULDN’T CARE.

We’re talking about people who came here illegally and committed crimes while in the US!  If they wanted to stay in their home countries… they SHOULD have!

But the Trump Administration took an even higher road, arguing that (even though the law doesn’t require them to do this…) they have ‘procedures’ in place to mitigate the risk of that happening, according to a report by CNN:

The Trump administration said Murphy’s handling of those migrants underscored why it needs emergency relief from the Supreme Court.

“Last week, the district court required the government to halt the ongoing third-country removal of the aforementioned criminal aliens to South Sudan,” the administration told the Supreme Court. “As a result, the United States has been put to the intolerable choice of holding these aliens for additional proceedings at a military facility on foreign soil—where each day of their continued confinement risks grave harm to American foreign policy—or bringing these convicted criminals back to America.”

The Trump administration has argued those requirements are not included in the law, and officials said they already have procedures in place to ensure that migrants are not persecuted in a third country. At the first step, those procedures involve seeking diplomatic assurances from the country that people removed from the United States will not be tortured.

At a certain point, you just have to call a spade what it is — a gosh darn SPADE.

And DISTRICT Judge Murphy’s nationwide injunction is nothing more than another attempt to thwart the agenda of the sitting President on political grounds.

The entire issue of an “independent judiciary” that many of these judges love to use; it doesn’t mean what they think it means.

It SPECIFICALLY and ONLY means that the judiciary is not to engage in POLITICS or be MOTIVATED by political aims.

This isn’t happening because Judge Murphy has a bleeding heart for the poor illegal criminals President Trump rightly REMOVED from American streets.

It’s about politics, as every single one of these “injunctions” has been.

And it’s time the Trump Administration takes off the gloves, and stop asking PERMISSION from a judiciary that is corrupt and complicit in the Deep State’s rewiring of the U.S. government.

From the very first moment a Supreme Court Justice is seen in HANDCUFFS for usurping the legitimate power of the President of the United States…

All of this nonsense will stop.

I just don’t know if the Department of Justice has the balls to make that move.

But I definitely know… they’ve had the opportunity to make it stick more than once, and so far they haven’t.

That said — I don’t think the President has gone as far as he’s willing to go on the issue of rogue judges and a judiciary that thinks IT is the President.
