Providence Police just released yet another video of the Brown University shooting suspect taken from surveillance cameras.

It’s the clearest video yet, but it still doesn’t show a whole lot.

Watch for yourself here:

Backup here if needed:

BREAKING: Police just released NEW FOOTAGE of the Brown University mass shooting suspect.

Sadly, the building where he committed the atrocity apparently lacked cameras compared to the rest of the university, and it’s very difficult to make out defining features.

A lot of work to do. The manhunt continues.

The FBI also released these photos:

Two observations stood out to me about this new footage.

First, this guy appears quite heavyset, at least in this clip.

In the footage released earlier on Monday, the suspect didn’t seem as…large.

But, perhaps it’s just too far away to tell?

For comparison, I’ll leave the earlier clip released by police of the suspect here:

What do you think?

Does that seem like the same body type to you?

Second question: why on earth did it take police this long to release the footage?

Did they really only just find it now?

Or were they sitting on it for over 2 days before making it public?

Either way, it’s ridiculous if this is the best they can do, which they claim to be doing.

The FBI is offering a $50K reward for tips leading to an arrest, and the police are arranging interviews with students.

The New York Times has the latest update on the ongoing manhunt:

New footage of the suspected gunman was coming in at a faster clip on Monday, according to Attorney General Peter F. Neronha of Rhode Island. He said “we’re learning more about his movements as we gather additional video evidence.”

The suspect in the shooting is a man with a stocky build who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, the authorities said as they released additional images of the suspect. The F.B.I. and Providence Police Department are encouraging the public to help identify the individual.

The Providence Police Department asked anyone from Brown University who was in the Barus and Holley engineering and physics building, the site of the shooting, on Friday or Saturday to arrange for an interview, presumably to provide information that could help the authorities find the shooter. “Even an incidental detail may be helpful in investigating,” an alert from Brown University shortly before 6:30 p.m. said.
